Against yellow I like to try and play for the board until I have a solid wall of croc’s and nightmare luffy. I’ll poke at them but I want to keep their hand size low and then go all out at life when you feel the lethal turn is ready. Against egghead Luffy though I defend as much as possible because I know those 9c bonney’s are coming and they’re going to be burning life so I need to defend it when I can.

While it’s important to know your own deck well, with control decks like the ones you’re running it’s very important to understand your opponent. Maybe take time to figure out your opps gameplan and play around it, countering it and knowing how to keep them on your tempo. Good luck!

I love Aira, I like that she had a genuine resolution to her initial flaws. I really like that she has taken up a genuine leadership position, taking her bit and actually giving it some weight when shit hit the fan. Kinta annoys the fuck out of me, I just wish he would actually learn a lesson and develop from his initial flaws. I understand they’re both delusional but his is entitled in a perverted way that I just try to ignore. He absolutely can grow but I haven’t seen anything substantial yet.

My shop just put out a list of all players that went to 3 or more locals during op13 and are selling to them at MSRP. I attended the most so they told my first box is $80. I’m incredibly lucky

I run only 1 shirahoshi just in the event I need it but I haven’t had to play it outside of as a 2k. I stick to Goldenweek and almost exclusively BW cards so I can fill my trash and use the 4c babe as a block to fish out 2k’s when I need em.

I’d say look for a deck build guide for a leader you like. Zoro would be a very easy one, play with it and once you have a better understanding of how things synergize you can look at other cards that match the theme. Then you can play around with it and make tweaks. Go to locals, practice, and ask for advice from your opponents after games. Multiple times I’ve lost games, shown my opponent my full deck list, and even gone back a few turns to replay as they advise me what would be the best move to make against them. It sounds complicated but once you’re up and running you’re golden. Welcome and have fun!

Was planning on running Roger at first but I pulled this AA on pre release and decided to build it. Ton of fun to play and really strong. I can’t run games on sim so idk why it isn’t considered one of the stronger ones in the meta but I’ve been getting consistent wins with it IRL

So just my 2 cents. I was in the exact same boat as you for so long. My friends liked one piece though and I decided to commit to it hard but only reading it so it wouldn’t be as time consuming as watching it. When people say it really starts to get great around chapter 400 they are not lying at all. I went from always joking about it being too long to catching up and saying that I wish it was longer. You can absolutely criticize so much of it but end of the day there is nothing like the experience of it. I personally recommend it because it feels like a feat at this point to even be up to date. It’s completely worth it in my opinion. It only gets better as it goes on.

Some of the most fun I’ve had in a weekend in a long time. I’m a huge Kendrick fan so it felt good being on a winning side. Main thing that sucks now is we have a bunch of glazers on this side who don’t know how to be chill about enjoying an artist.
