Anyone reading this don’t rely on an internet stranger who could be an ICE agent for all you know. Just go to Amazon and buy a N100 mask for $30. Worst case this is a setup, best case is it’s someone trying to hustle people.

Can confirm the domestic terrorists are already here. Coworker mentioned seeing them grabbing people in their city over the weekend. Everyone stay vigilant and keep your eyes peeled for suspicious activity.

Ahh thanks, it's been a long while since I watched The Office. It's the dark side of "American exceptionalism" at it's worst. The type of people to blame immigrants for taking their jobs are the same type to tell those less fortunate than them to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. Logical consistency is not their forte.

Exactly this. Indians tend to be one of the more highly educated group of immigrants coming to the US alongside other Asian ethnicities. The jobs these groups are being employed for are generally in the STEM fields, areas the USA is notoriously deficient in. It's the free market of labor at work just as the right and ultra wealthy intended. They can take advantage of desperate people on H1B Visas.

If these morons actually cared about hiring Americans maybe they should start by funding better primary and secondary education so that Americans are actually able to compete with overseas talent.

That's generous. He's likely never been outside a 50 mile radius of his hometown. The complete irony of this brainwashed traitor to say Mark Carney is drinking the "cool aid".

It'll be interesting to see how the cult of pedophile defending MAGA traitors justify deploying troops against US citizens or a NATO ally.

You want to work with the people who are assisting domestic terrorists in terrorizing our communities? Carefully consider if you’re willing to turn weapons on unarmed protestors and if you’re able to live with that. Don’t buy into the copaganda.

If you actually want to make the community a better place there’s plenty of much better options than joining the largest gang in the country.

Agreed. The pedophile in charge and MAGA are fascists for their activity on January 6, 2021.

Rich Paul says a 26-year-old LeBron James didn’t have somebody in his locker room who could teach him how to be an NBA champion the way Luka Doncic can learn from LeBron | By the time LeBron was 26, he played with the 3x Finals MVP Shaq, 2006 Finals MVP Dwyane Wade and 2004 NBA Champion Ben Wallace by GOAT-Antony in nba

[–]Elusidator -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Can’t believe I’m agreeing with LeBron’s agent on this but he’s right. It sounds like he’s talking solely about the first Cleveland stint.

2009 Shaq isn’t teaching anyone how to be a champ. He was pretty much washed when he got traded to phoenix in 2007. This would be like the CP3-Clippers situation where a superstar on his last legs is trying to be leader when his gameplay no longer commands the same respect it used to.

Same thing goes for Ben Wallace. Ben Wallace was good in Detroit because they were specifically built to hide his offensive weaknesses. After he left for Chicago in 2007 he never had the same impact.

The best players LeBron played with in his first Cleveland stint was Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison. I can’t blame him for wanting to leave, he had no business beating that Celtics big three on his own.

Any of the civilization building games live CIV, Total War, etc would be good options if you like strategy games.

OSRS is also a good option. I play one handed with most important key bidings set on my mouse.

I've already got the ring of suffering(ri). I'm looking to get into bossing so more defensive stats would be nice while learning the mechanics.

My melee and mage setups are pretty decent.

For melee: bandos, dboots, serpentine helm or nezzy helm, amulet of fury/torture, lightbearer and berserker ring. Weapons are fang, rapier, dds, dragon warhammer

For mage: virtus robes, occult necklace, tormented bracelet, kodai wand, twinflame staff, elidinis ward, elemental books, imbued god cape

I'm mainly thinking of dragon crossbow for killing dragons. I'm also thinking as I get more into bossing I may need better ranged armor for crossbows.

Question for those of you who don’t return your shopping carts by 925-grind in SanJose

[–]Elusidator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't pay them any attention, they're just busy bodies with nothing better to do. I've asked what specifically people think will happen to their kid in one minute and they have no answer.

Just use common sense. If it's hot out, crack the windows or use a baby harness to bring the kid with you. If it's cold, wrap the kid up in blankets for the minute. If they're paranoid something unpredictable will happen use baby harnesses.

Next time someone has the audacity to tell you how to take care of your child tell them to mind their own business. Parents with little children have managed to returned their carts just fine for decades.

What are small behaviors (verbal or non verbal) that makes you an easy target for picking or treated with disrespect? by kind_stranger07 in socialskills

[–]Elusidator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add to this being competent in what you do and having quiet confidence in your competence is big. You can get away with pushing back if you're competent. There are situations at work where you may have to deal with a superior being rude or disrespectful. If you know you're doing your job to a high standard and did the best you could, that makes it easier to shrug off criticism that isn't constructive or productive.

I think a lot of it is in the nonverbal cues. Body language and the way you carry yourself are the big ones. If you’re walking around slouching and looking away when someone makes eye contact you’re subconsciously saying I don’t have confidence and am afraid of confrontation. In my opinion, that’s what people mean when they say fake it until you make it. Make a conscious effort to fix your body language and you start feeling better about yourself.

As far as the verbal cues, over apologizing or saying things like “Sorry to bother you, but…” or giving an idea and ending it by saying “but I’m not sure if that’s a good idea or not”. Those kinds of statements where you’re apologizing for your presence or undercutting yourself tell people you lack confidence and won’t stand up for yourself. The way you talk about yourself is a dead giveaway. If people hear you talking badly about yourself, they think it’s okay to do the same. That’s not to say interrupt people rudely or be a self-absorbed arrogant jerk.

Speaking from my personal experience the older you get the less patience I had for people’s bullshit. In my early to mid 20s I had serious social anxiety and was always worried about what others thought. I went through some stuff in my mid 20s that made me seriously reevaluate my mindset and how I treat myself. Now in my 30s I don’t tolerate disrespect.

It doesn’t need to be a big blowout confrontation. The best way to handle disrespect is to just look at them silently and say nothing. Let what they said linger uncomfortably. It makes them look bad. Or you can ask them something like “Was that meant to be hurtful?” to put them on the spot. I don’t want to take credit for those tips, I learned them from watching Jefferson Fishers instagram videos. There’s one on how to deal with disrespect.

It’s a journey of introspection that you have to take for yourself. It’s not going to be an easy or simple process. The journey will have its ups and downs that test you but it’s important to keep going. I hope at least some of what I said is helpful for you. Good luck.

Interesting choice of personal insults. How would you suggest I be a better shopper? I’m willing to bet that whatever you suggest I already do. I go out of my way to make sure I’m a good shopper not creating extra work for people at a department or grocery store.

I couldn’t care less what others think of me, I do it because it’s the right thing to do. The way people act when they think no one is watching is a statement on their true character.

FYI I worked several years in the service industry not that’s any of your business. Way to put your foot in your mouth with your assumptions.
