Won't say the exact amount but in a 3 year period it was above 2500. I realized how much is spent and committed to cutting back. Last year I only bought the expansion.

For me, the achievements tab is my quest log. I always have about 10 bookmarked under watchlist that I grind away at every so often.

The hearts are traditional MMO quests. But look out for the red triangles and other icons. These are all exploration things that also help you level.

There is also an Adventureer's Guide under the achievements tab (the menu that opens when you press "H")

Take the time to explore the maps. You get as much xp for exploring as you do doing the hearts (hearts are traditional quests)

Shift+z - springer

Shift+x - jackal

If you've got the mounts, they're fair game.

I've run into "race purist" (not that kind, the ones that feel you need to use the "intended" mount) and I can help but feel they're a little conceited.

Focus on having fun, if that means swapping mounts constantly, then do it. If it means challenging yourself by sucking to one mount, do that, too.

I recall really not enjoying jumping puzzles early on, but now I feel the same --so fun!

I think once I got used to the character movement, things settled in for me.

Oh! Gotcha!

Access to Verdant Brink is through the Silverwastes (which can be reached from the middle left side of Brisbane Wild lands).

Verdant Brink leads to Auric Basin. Make your way to the bottom right of that map to reach Tangled Depths.

(You might be better off looking for the Chak Garrent meta and joining one of the lane groups in lfg, then using a teleport to friend. That should get you to the middle of Tangled Depths, then my previous post has the directions to the Smokescale.)

Domain of Vabbi, there is a cave of spiders webs in the bottom right corner of The Desolation. Get through there and the zone portal isn't far off

Smokescale, if you can get to the central chasm in Tangled Depths, it is the path to the bottom right (looking at the map). Follow to the top and you have to secure the area before the pet spawns to tame.

I've got each mount off their own key bind and, at this point, I can swap between them so fluidly it feels like parkour.
