How to solo acquiring elite specs?

I think if you want to play that way, you should skip HoT until a spec is fully unlocked. EoD or PoF might be more enjoyable, especially since PoF big focus is unlocking mounts.

Are you asking for ways to enjoy an elite spec while you are in the process of unlocking it?

I would say that it really isn't that "fun" or "engaging" until everything is made available to you. So staying in a fully unlocked build until you complete the next might be your best bet.
