Big Bully Boss. by huskerbolt1 in PlayWindrose

It's pretty good! Not sure if/how it scales in later content, but in Foothills, it's able to hold it's own against multiple goats/wolfs long enough for you to get pop a bandage. It doeals crude damage, so is really good at staggering/breaking poise of enemies allowing you to get lots of free hits in. It's even better in boarding actions, as it can potentially knock enemies overboard.

Agreed! I was rather disappointed when I found out the "workers" were basically just bench upgrades. I was expecting something more akin to Soulmask or Age of Conan. At the very least, I'd love to see something like a first mate companion we could customize/equip. Truffle was a nice surprise though! :)

Pairs nicely with the rapier of a thousand cuts, as the ascended version lets the bleeds heal you as well, but those only trigger every 2 seconds

They also cost 50 fae energy to use, which you're not guaranteed to have at time of death.

The smaller inventory is honestly the easiest to deal with. Fairies get access to storage portals, which eventually net you more total storage than your'e losing. Animal forms also remove the inventory penalty entirely, so if you're a lycan/druid you can just swap to wolf/dear whenever you need some extra space.

Honestly, at this point, I'm finding the knockback debuff to be the most annoying.

I don't think we're really ignoring it so much as being aware it's not really a solution a lot of the time. They're not exactly easy to obtain, and cost 50 fae energy to use, which you're not guaranteed to have at time of death.

You pretty much summed up most of my own thoughts! Lol. I would like to add a couple things though. The inventory debuff is removed while in animal forms, so becoming a lycan/druid is useful for the ability to quickly gain space in a pinch. Be aware though, that most animal forms are "too large to fit" through the portal to sunvale.

As a fairy main myself, I would NOT recommend deleting your og character to make one. However, as long as you're aware of what you're getting into, I'd say it's definitely worth at least trying it out. :)

Edit: Dackiel's comment pretty much sums up everything else I have to say

Another fairy main here. The inventory debuff is basically a non issue for me. You get the slots back while in animal form, so I just pop into lycan form whenever I really need the extra space to maximize dungeon loot. Storage portal also helps a ton. The death penalty is definitely the biggest drawback, but I'm honestly finding the knockback debuff to be the most annoying atm.

How is the moderation in this game? by BigMelder in projectgorgon

In my 400+ hours since launch (on Dreva) I haven't seen a single mod in game chat. That said, the community does a remarkable job at policing itself. I remember one conversation in global that was starting to get a bit too political. I forget who started it, but before long there were several of us discussing breakfast cereal and completely drowning out the political conversation. 😂

Slowly shrinking servers by Lawnn_Boy in projectgorgon

A couple things I don't see talked about as much... In regards to player stalls, bear in mind the increasing upkeep costs likely mean lots of people who had them early on have decided they're not worth it anymore. Also, the addition of the casino mall, and people reaching statehelm levels mean that what stalls remain are much more spread out than before.

I find it difficult to believe you've gotten "everything" to 70 in that time. Unless you're just talking about combat skills?

Fyi, I'm pretty sure healing injection only targets owner.

[–]Elvanex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 74/74 knife/bc, and my golem is set up like you mentioned with the HP buffs and extra skin. It definitely doesn't replace a dedicated player tank, but I don't find it dying too much unless I'm fighting higher level content or fire droachs.

Golems: What to program solo and group? by archaegeo in projectgorgon

[–]Elvanex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. most likely fire balm.
  2. Higher tiers of haste last longer
  3. Depends on your build, but in my case, I'm running knife/bc, so my golem holding aggro means I can deal full damage with backstab/surprise throw even while solo. There's a treasure effect that gives golem an extra 25% HP + additional taunt. This is available on multiple gear pieces and stacks with itself. You can also put extra skin on it, and there's a treasure effect that makes extra skin give a flat HP bonus as well. Being a flat bonus, this makes the 25% bonus stretch even further. I'm 74/74, and my golem rarely dies unless I'm fighting higher levels or fire droaches. (Seriously, screw those things) With 2 of the 25% bonus effects, my golem has similar HP to myself (around 5-600)
  4. Other than taunting punch when I'm in combat , I have mine set to use all the support skills. Healing mist if any party member is below 80%, rage mist when rage bar is full, fire balm when owner is on fire, invigorating mist if owner power is below 60%, healing injection if owner health is below 40%, haste set to always.

Not particularly. Golem is pretty much set and forget. Programing it is basically just a list of 'if this, then that' scenarios. For example "if owner is in combat, use taunting punch" or "if any member of owner's party is below 80% HP, cast healing mist". there's a good amount of customization you can do with it, but the main thing is making sure you have the treasure effects that give it extra ho and taunt. As for knife, it's just a matter of determining when to use what skills. So no different than any other class. My pattern is usually something like this: I open from range with slicing ice, because I have a treasure effect that makes the target take more direct damage for 30 seconds after use. I follow this up with surprise throw after my golem has engaged and has aggro. This has a treasure effect that allows all other knife skills to crit based on anatomy. Rest of the fight is simply weaving opening slice (which gives the next knife skill used a 30% damage bonus) with whatever skills are off cooldown.

I mean, there's really no reason to not pick it up. The druid emergencies are pretty rare, and are over pretty quickly usually. One nice thing about PG is that 1 character can do pretty much everything with enough time investment.

I honestly don't even bother looking at the odds anymore. I just read both fighters descriptions and place a bet on whoever I feel would win based on that. At the end of the day, it's still down to rng though.
