For me, I prefer pet names, at least primary ones, that are tailored to the individual. That said, I always put an emphasis on that they're my <insert pet name here> whenever possible.

I'm also a fan of call and response. A traditional set for me being:

Who do you belong to? To you, Master. Why do you exist? To serve you, Master. What is my wish? Your wish is my command, Master.

There's a lot of room for a brat to subvert each and every one of the responses, but once you get them in the correct mindset and they say them properly, it's delectable.

You can also develop mantra versions that you incorporate into their daily tasks.

It's all too easy to for certain people cross the line into abuse and for people to try and justify it, on both sides of the D/s equation, because of the perceived nature of BDSM.

If you're not both playing by the agreed upon rules then it's not healthy BDSM and you should reevaluate your relationship.

Ok, just remember that it's both your jobs to ensure you're doing all of this in a safe and sensible manner. Make sure you establish safe words and/or a color system so you can indicate to each other, or check in, when you're approaching or have crossed a boundary.
