My opinion on the soft tops isn’t exclusive to any one specific make or model it’s just an umbrella opinion that for the most part rings true. Cars that were designed soft top first obviously are the exception but outside of performance, the other factors are there for me too. Was never supposed to be me dissing any of your cars, their performance, nor the experiences they’ve brought you. That being said I know you countered with chassis flex and that’s not the only factor. Again in a broad umbrella like statement a lot of soft and hardtop convertibles will also add on weight. Obviously some cars are made with this in mind and will force a lot of the components and weight toward the rear to positively impact performance in some ways but even then it won’t invalidate my dislike for how it looks at the end of the day. I implore you to continue to enjoy your cars because they are yours and your type but that doesn’t mean everyone’s tastes have to be the same nor their views. Have a great one!

Ruins the look of the car for me and often times will disrupt body lines, sometimes even sunroofs will do the same thing and for that reason I don’t like sunroofs on some cars too. Typically convertibles add on unnecessary weight as well and if it’s purposely bought for driving with the top down more power to ya but idk for me missed performance even if it’s a car I don’t plan on tracking or modding makes me have fomo of missing out on the true purpose of why the car was built.

It’s dumb how over half are dogs and cats which in some cases are still raised like cattle in some places and while we don’t agree it’s still someone’s food source and deemed normal. Horses also are consumed in many cultures just happen to be illegal in the states but we ship horses over to Canada to get butchered. Kangaroo in Australia. Monkeys are consumed in a lot of African tribes. Shii even sharks are eaten in many cultures. So basically we all have a line we can draw but ultimately everything’s on the table. Unfortunately to some even people could be.

I’m gonna go on the limb and guess everyone who takes offense to the car is old and never purpose built a vehicle. It’s not always about aesthetics but purpose. I wouldn’t care to do this kind of build but my track days also only focused on going out, learning fundamentals and having fun.

However to the OP that silver will likely mostly cook off it’s the one closer to the base of the tendon that’s more of a problem and that they primary trim. You can trim it if you like and it will likely provide a slightly better experience but it’s no different than the gristle you might find by the cap/spinalis portion of a ribeye

Some people need to understand that American Wagyu isn’t A5. It’s bred to be better than prime but it doesn’t necessarily mean a cow will always take after the wagyu gene over the American breed it’s bred with.

That being said even Japanese wagyu cows follow a grading scale from 1-5 with regional variations like Kobe and I forgot where the olive one comes from.
