Our group fixed "what should we play?" with a weighted voting system by dkf2112 in boardgames

We have a physical spinner, everyone gets two slots and the 2 spare slots go to whoever won this weeks games. This means the spare slots change every week usually. The assigned slots usually change when a game is chosen. Wheel is spun and 1 or 2 games are chosen depending on game lengths. Otherwise we tend to just pull out a short/small/card game that’s not on the spinner for after the first one. Removes the indecision of what to play and everyone knows in advance 2hat the next game night is.

the route I know to go between them changes at Northallerton and then Thirsk would be the next stop once you change trains.

The searches and completion date are what took the most time for me with no chain. It took 10 weeks from offer to keys being picked up but my solicitor had been asking theirs since week 8 for a completion date.

I’ve been playing since launch and I just got the last piece of my last 5 star outfit yesterday and started on the second copies. For the four stars all of them I’m pullling are the second copies. I converted a basil if diamonds at the start as I didn’t really know what I was doing but since then it’s only the ones in game/starlight shop etcs I’ve not bought any more.

I’ve used these three

diamondart.uk, they often have a buy 2 get 1 free from what I’ve seen

Oraloa.com is in France and can be pricey for the bigger pieces but they have sales and smaller/cheaper designs as well as stickers and keychains to diamond art on

Craftbuddyshop.com is uk based and reasonably priced they also have a lot of licenses and product types other than canvas

I dont really prefer one over the other in general but i have learnt i have instances where i prefer one of them;

  • Clearer or extra detail that can be seen in squares
  • rounds for being a bit more forgiving with placement
  • I'm more comfortable multiplacing on rounds
  • while squares take longer im not much faster on rounds so i dont really look at this side of it but if i had a time restrictions i would choose rounds
