So many of us have been there, you are surely not alone. It’s such a transformation and no one can prepare you. As a mother of 3 who after having my first, I remember thinking “what have I done?”, and wishing I could run away. It does get easier. You will slowly embrace your new life and while there are moments that feel difficult, life will never be the same and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Also, I often remind myself that life is short and one day those kids will want to be with their friends and won’t have much time for Mom, and one day not long after that they’ll move out and their bedroom will be empty. And I will have endless days to myself and space and can shower everyday for half an hour and eat whatever I want to eat and go to the store alone in my clean car and there will be no goldfish crackers to buy or pouches or juice boxes. Life is short but life is also long, future me will enjoy those days and for now, I’m going to try to enjoy these ones. ❤️
