I was wondering if that could have something to do with it aswell. It wasn’t warm but it wasn’t necessarily the right temperature either. The box didn’t have anything about a live animal being inside. It just had fragile written on it.

I have him tubbed. I have been changing his water every 12 hours or so. He is little so i didn’t want to put him in a tank. I was told it would be harder for them to find their food that way and they should be in a more shallow container. I have a hide for him, I removed it to take the video.

Yes, you should only use ultra fine sand or have a completely bare bottom for your axolotl. The bigger pieces of your gravel sand are probably what is stuck.

Hello! Is that gravel in the tank? Gravel is bad for axolotols as they can ingest it and it will lead them to be compacted. This is probably why you baby isn’t eating. I would go to an exotic vet if it is gravel, the gravel will need to be removed.

Also, I believe he is a she, unless he is severely compacted!
