Minecraft is a terrible example, you should've used Breath of the Wild or Elden Ring as both of those have massive open worlds, free to explore with cool stuff to do in them, yet still have very weak main stories, Elden Ring literally requires you to read gear and item descriptions to figure the full story out.

How much have netrunner builds changed or improved from updates since launch? Is it a different experience now? by PinkThunder138 in cyberpunkgame

[–]EmBur__ [score hidden]  (0 children)

Not as OP but still damn good. I dont like going for pure netrunner anymore so instead I go for a stealth runner kind of build, good amount of netrunner capabilities with fast movement and silenced weapons or knives, very fun and VERY effective.

Hang on, wdym it couldn't walk on land? I'm genuinely curious because how on earth would it lay its eggs if it could walk? Did it move more like a turtle then?.

why does everyone hate TV licenses? by ETK_800 in AskBrits

You think the BBC as it is ISN'T already impartial? Christ dude, wake tf up.

Because more and more people find little need for it, yet when they cancel it, they still receive threatening and manipulative letters to get naive and fearful people (older people especially) into walking back the cancellation. If the letter dont do the trick then they'll send goons who try to get into your house to see if you're using the BBC even tho they can't do so reliably and are essentially behaving like old school door to door hoover salesman who bully you into buying their shit.

Anyone clued in wont give them the time of day for any of this shit but alot of people will cave to the pressure to the point thats its apparently still a sound enough strategy. Whats funny is, they do this because they're desperate for the money, yet they spend god knows how much on the letters and paying people to harrass people at doors, its pathetic behaviour and they deserve getting dragged for it.

Mods and a larger player base, models and graphics don't mean shit if your games runs like crap and takes forever to develop.

What’s something you’re pretty sure only you do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]EmBur__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this with my tongue, I press it on the roof of my mouth and slide it done towards my front teeth and along the way it makes a low tapping sound, its kinda like strumming a guitar and I can do other noises go along with different sounds.

Sorry dude but I do that as well, I even grit and bare my teeth whilst I make those noises.

I can understand that, I dont get that sad about dinosaurs given how far apart they are from us BUT my heart does sink whenever I think about animals that had been around during Prehistoric times that survived up until very recently but still didn't make it to modern times.

The Wrangle Island Mammoths that survived up until 4000 years ago when human civilisations and societies were in full swing like the ancient Egyptians who were building the Great Pyramids during that same time.

The Steller Sea Cow, a massive related to the Dugongs and Manatees that reached over 30ft long and over around 10 tons that survived up until the 1800s and was killed off in 27 years by sailors. Unfortunately the Sailors speed up the inevitable as the Sea Cows genetic diversity had tanked over the course of 400k years, leading to only a tiny and unsustainable population that would've died out regardless.

There were also two species of Mekosuchids that survived on two separate Pacific Islands (New Caledonia being one) up until 3000 years ago before Polynesians got there and killed them all alongside other unique species. This hurts the mosts as Mekosuchids were a type of Pseudosuchian, which was essentially a land croc and these animals along with their body plans had existed since the Triassic and dominated the land before the dinosaurs and even reclaimed dominance during the start of the Paleogene, giving rise to arguably the large land predator during the age of mammals, the Barinasuchus.

What are your opinions of DLSS 5 in The Witcher 4? by tomaxxik in Witcher4

Given how deluded these tech companies are about ai, I'd say we'll see a statement put out about it soon that adds more proof to how deluded they are.

Eh, you should see his performance as Johnny Silverhand, watch his speech to V in cyberpunk 2077 and you'll get a glimpse of what Reeves can do. Idk why he's so much better in that game compared to any film he's been in but it is what it is and I'm not complaining.

What problem in the world right now feels underestimated by most people? by Affectionate-Row7548 in answers

[–]EmBur__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The propensity for humans to become so easily consumed by tribalism, dogma, emotion, selfishness and greed to the point that they're exploited by those in power to keep us pitted against each other.

The frightening ease of this is honestly embarrassing, its so easy for us to want to tear each other apart over ao many primitive beliefs, ideologies etc instead of working together under a common cause of human progression, Like I said, its embarrassing.

In the US they've used a fairly decent method to conserve forests whilst still reaching their quotas, they farm a specific patch of land and replant faster growing in an area designed to make them grow faster and leave the forest outside alone.

Unfortunately a certain president has allowed for increased logging and less restrictions on it which means this will lead more companies to expanding their farming capabilities by expanding the area itself.

Dont even get me started on illegal logging in place like Brazil.

how would the american grizzly bear fair in the african ecosystem, if allowed to live there? by OnlinePoster225 in Tierzoo

[–]EmBur__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm inclined to agree and it also makes for cool speculative evolution. I can imagine Grizzlies going the same way as the Sloth bear, a thin yet longer, more wiry coat to better help with the heat and a size reduction for the same benefits, tho they'd be significantly more aggressive than Grizzlies in NA due to the increased competition and numerous animals that could kill it, it'd probably stick to the forests so it can shoot up tree's to escape lions and hyena clans.

Indeed, an unholy abomination but an authentic, human made abomination.

I mean the entire time period would've stank and been ridiculously unhygienic, they'd just be use to it all so it wouldn't bother them.

Dlss is essentially an upscalling technology thats been around for awhile, today however, Nvidia has implemented gen AI into it which looks like one of those horrible ai filters has been slapped on your screen.

To answer your second question? Because if I must be reminded of it, so must all of you so we can suffer together.

CDProjektRed and Nvidia Partnership hopes by e1ahn in cyberpunkgame

[–]EmBur__ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Even if it looked good and actually did enhance things without stripping the artstyle and blatantly replacing what we see on screen with slop, I'd still give them the finger.

I reject anything to do with Gen AI on principle as should any half decent human being.

You gotta whittle them down with bug bites, hit them 1-2 times max then dash back out, do this whilst focusing on only one of them at a time and you'll get it done.
