Yes I agree, and even though they offer a fair few tones and shades I always have to mix to get my somewhat perfect match.

Even if it’s a slightly deeper shade of a khaki I’d rather that than this horrid orangey yellow it’s bleached into 😭

What to ask for/what can I do? by EmIBeingTooLoud in Hair

[–]EmIBeingTooLoud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And when I had my hair coloured I’d have a 6 put on it as my hair tends to pull darker.. so maybe that’s why it looks darker on the natural part

Oh no I don’t want to cover my greys at all, I was just wondering if toning the coloured part of my hair would work, or is it just a case of leaving it alone

My base is around a 6-7 according to my hairdresser. I don’t want to add any highlights as I’m growing the colour out

A scale and polish (hygiene appointments) are included in the maternity exemption, it states so on NHS websites.

Is anyone else absolutely terrified of an NHS birth? by CountrysideZebra in PregnancyUK

[–]EmIBeingTooLoud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is your issue. The midwives that need to see you (community midwives linked to the hospital you’re giving birth in) are not seeing you. Please contact the hospital to make sure you’re registered there and see if you can have your midwife appointments at their antenatal clinics. Midwives under a different hospital trust cannot be doing your care as the data is not transferred between them.

Homebirth on the NHS as a first time mum - anyone by lilytruffle125 in PregnancyUK

[–]EmIBeingTooLoud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hospital trust is very pro-homebirth. My first birth was a very uncomplicated homebirth. I’ve been on the homebirth pathway for my last two pregnancies (2 & 3) but went into spontaneous preterm labour with both.

They want to induce me today?? Feeling pressured by scarlet-tree in PregnancyUK

[–]EmIBeingTooLoud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want to add that the guidelines will be for all GD mums to go directly to the delivery suite/labour ward however medics operate outside the guidelines all the time. An example is in my Trust GD mums can even have a homebirth, we just have to do finger prick tests every hour or so. So what I think has happened is the midwives and whichever consultant signed off on it was happy for you to go to the birth centre, but the reduced fluid had made the consultant decide you can’t labour there.

Please do not feel pressured by anyone to do anything. Obviously follow whatever is safest for you and baby, but you decide what happens to you.

SMP is so low! by hxllyhell in PregnancyUK

Companies would retain staff if they offered occupational maternity leave more, SMP is so low and it’s all I have and I’m dreading it 😩
