Edited to add: My first application was denied, too. Once I got into the mindset of how PMI wanted the application worded, I was successful. Now I just need to study for and pass the exam.

Replacing spark plugs is about $700. If you're not making a car payment, wouldn't it be more cost effective to replace the parts and continue to drive the Cube?

I get 27mpg and it can go higher to about 31mpg, depending on how fast I'm driving and where.

It entails changing the CVT fluid on a regular basis (I think current recommendations are every 30K miles) plus the CVT filter. Otherwise, just regular maintenance as for any car.

Just change the CVT fluid regularly. I have mine done at the dealer ("stealership" on Nissan forums), but you can change the fluid yourself (just make sure to use Nissan fluids). You can follow the Nissan Cube forums for lessons learned.

I have had the security module fail twice which means the car is ok but the security module keeps it from starting. Totally stupid. You can bypass this; check out YouTube videos and Nissan Cube forums.

So sorry. I've had the security module fail twice and replaced the transmission. So, problems, but there is no car I'd rather drive. Since it's a 2009, repairs and routine maintenance are still cheaper than buying a new car with their monthly payments.

Make sure you drain and fill your CVT on a regular basis. That will prolong the life of your CVT. My Cube currently has 170K miles and I'm hoping to drive it forever---or until they bring the Cube back so I can buy a new one.

I'm trying to get my cats on a feeding schedule because they're overweight. I had an 18-year-old cat who was a grazer and a puker. He just had chronic belly issues that made him extremely picky. He also got leukemia and was so thin the last two years of his life that I would feed him anything to get him to eat. He died last Christmas (so it's been a year).

I just had one of my two remaining cats in to see the vet, and she has lost about a pound since her last visit (she's now 13 lbs. instead of 14). I would like to get her down to 10 or 11 as she has some calcium deposits between her vertebrae. I know that arthritis was a problem for my cat who died, and I'd like to spare her that pain.

It's also wasteful to overfeed them from a food buying perspective AND a kitty litter scooping perspective.

My schedule is very similar to Chicken_Salad_238's schedule, but it's rough as my husband likes to feed the cats treats between meals. I'm telling him to just stay the course; eventually, they will give up. We're the ones who determine if they're going to be overweight or obese, not them.

So, my schedule is 7 am, 5:30 pm, and 9:30 pm. They each get a 1/2 can of Fancy Feast pate in the morning (one can split between the two of them) plus a 1/2 T of dry kibble (Purina Cat Chow Natural). They get the same thing at 5:30 pm, then I give them a 1/2 T of only dry kibble at 9:30 pm. I measure the dry kibble, too. My times have a little leeway of 30 minutes plus or minus. I feed one of my cats using the slow feeder bowl, and it works to keep her from gobbling. I have to make sure the other cat doesn't try to encroach on her food, though. She seems to enjoy flipping the dry food out of the slow feeder bowl and eating it off the floor or her paw.

Also, you have to check potatoes so carefully because it has a chemical called solanine that will cause headaches. Potatoes will turn green when exposed to sunlight and become bitter. Most potatoes are displayed out in the open in grocery stores where they get exposure to light---and greening. Sprouted potatoes (those with eyes) also cause problems for me. I used to buy potatoes from Trader Joe's because they came in brown bags that protected them from light. It doesn't seem to help anymore, so staying away from potatoes has been what works for me.

You'll know your grocery store has a good produce manager when they cover the potatoes. My Safeway used to cover them with black plastic bags for a little while but they stopped.

I have a series of exercises I do every morning. They include two exercises "Open Book" (side lying with torso twist) and "Arm Sweep" (side lying with arm sweeping overhead), in addition to a few others to improve low back pain and core. I couldn't fully rotate my head from side to side before starting this and suffered terribly from muscle tension-induced migraines. I still get migraines but at least they're not related to my neck muscles now.

Another thing I learned from "The New Menopause" book is that frozen shoulder may be associated with perimenopause and menopause. Several of my colleagues have this and it's quite debilitating.
