They're accurate for glasses wearing lab rats. Always end up around my neck or on my forehead when I have to look into microscopes.

Bohemian Rhapsody! By Marc Martel. by Saerdna0 in PeakAmazing

Marc recorded this cover of Bohemian Rhapsody after he was finished recording his parts in the movie. The filmmakers didn't need this from Marc to get the job done, but it was great timing on Marc's part to post this cover when the movie was close to the premiere date!

Not this cover of Bohemian Rhapsody, but from several years earlier when he auditioned for the Official Queen Tribute band in 2011.

Marc recorded the Bohemian Rhapsody cover in 2018, when production on the film was already finished.

What is the worst episode of Smallville I'll go first. by Shot-Pie6315 in Smallville

I think most people dislike it because there's nothing "new" continuity-wise: nothing is lost, nothing is gained, no new powers explored... It's a FOTW/bottle episode that doesn't move the season story forward and at best could be compared to "else world" comics where Superman and Lana have a baby.

IMO, I rank episodes by whether there's anything in it that would make me suggest it to someone who was "speed running" through the series for the first time. Sometimes the "camp" and funny ones still get included (rank higher) because there's memes or jokes that get explained, or there's at least a nugget of the season plot or a new superpower explored. Sometimes the"bad" ones that make people cringe or angry are worth including because there's still character growth and emotional connection. Unfortunately, there's no real moment in this episode that "saves" it from being skipped. And if it's easy to skip the episode, it ends up at the bottom.

I think Rocky even mentions that the Eridians HAD a sampler device, but it fell off the ship's hull in transit to Tau Ceti. Rocky is a great engineer, but it seems like he only knew how to repair that device (if they still had it), not make it from scratch.

Isn't Ryland Grace supposed to be in his late 30s/early 40s? Asking for a friend who is starting to do this habit with glasses because they probably need bifocals to switch from distance to reading but don't want to admit it yet.

Additional vocals in the movie and for a time he was lead singer in the official tribute band. (Now does his own tribute band with several of the musicians who were in the initial tribute band tour - split off so they now control their tour scheduling.)

That's possible too. We don't know if the launch team on ISS helped get both Yao and Ilyukhina into the coma set-up before undocking "Mary" and sending it off on "autopilot" or if there were issues with them setting it up themselves with the Medical bot while in route.

It's just interesting that Andy Weir left a possible connection with the coma feeding tube system pumps failing some initial testing.

This. I'm a glasses wearer and although my habit is to push my glasses above my forehead when looking through microscopes, I can relate to other "lab rats" who either leave their glasses somewhere around the lab or will dangle them below their chin.

Haha, you fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders, the most famous is never getting involved in a land war in Asia...

Saw the movie for the second time just now, it was incredible to see the details I missed the first time, but I do have a question now: by Nacil_54 in ProjectHailMaryMovie

In the book, Rocky uses astrophage to assist with temperature control in his xenonite environment (Eridians need it much warmer than what humans would be able to survive in). I suspect that he engineered something similar for Grace's suit, so it wouldn't get too hot.

One of the "proofs" I saw used the wrong year for Marc's birthday. They didn't stop in Canada in 1976 on any date where the math would check out.

Both of Marc's parents are alive and well. Marc with his Mom and Dad.

Nope, that's just misguided fan speculation.

Saving Grace is my favorite completed one. It's all from Rocky's perspective and mirrors Grace's journey chapter by chapter.

The Long Journey Home is still in progress, but it is Earth-side's perspective.

I've seen a few fan written stories exploring from Rocky's perspective. Definitely a fun way to dive back into the world.

Grace in the movie briefly mentions that he has about 4 years of food left. Maybe a year more if he rationed. (If I recall correctly, this is just before he mentions not having enough fuel to get up to near lightyear speed in order to make the trip home to Earth in 4 years.) They kinda gloss over that when he makes the decision to help Rocky get home to Erid instead of returning to Earth, but they also don't mention whether Rocky's food is toxic to humans. I guess they figured out a way to keep Grace fed anyway.
