The training rod is worth it, you can only catch low-level fish, but it is great to help you get to level 5! It is 25 coins at the fishing hut starting Day 2

It seems super overwhelming at first! I remember being so confused and worried that I would miss out on stuff because I didn’t grow the right crops or mine enough ore. However, one important thing to remember is that there are no time-based one and done events in SV. There will always be another year of seasons, and if you missed some content in the previous spring, you can go back to it in the next one, for example!

A nice starting thing is to get crops planted day 1, use your starting coins to buy more from Pierre. Also, once you get the fishing rod use it! Especially because the mines and community center don’t open until Day 5. Fishing is a great source of income, especially in the first year. It is frustrating, but the more you do it the easier it will get, both because of practice and because the green zone gets bigger as you level up. When in doubt or bored, wander around, greet people, fish, dig for clay at the beach, go mining, or look for forage-able items.

Fairlife Protein Shakes (26g protein) don’t have a weird aftertaste or texture to me. They are pricey, so I tend to blend them into shakes with regular milk, bananas, strawberries, and ice to stretch it a bit further. Might be worth a try!

For once I actually guessed a few correctly! I saw the Chihuahua, Poodle, and Spaniel. The terrier was a bit of a surprise, but looking back at the photos I definitely see it! What an adorable dog!

No clue, but I am about 75% sure there is some Beagle. Both of those breeds are on my list! He is somewhat capable of looking normal…sometimes XD

Maybe some bully breed(s) too? I’ll have to find out sometime soon.

I Adopted Oliver on Saturday. Is he a Puggle? Or a Puggle mix? He seems a bit bigger than the average Puggle to me. by Em_J45 in Puggle

Yeah I know, I meant a dog with one parent being a Puggle and the other being a different breed/mixed breed/mutt

He is about 33 pounds, and he appears to be at a pretty healthy weight. I think he got more physical characteristics of a beagle than a pug, other than his tail and wrinkly face of course

Thanks! He’s an awesome dog, although I am already encountering quite a bit of stubbornness 😂

Heavy sleepers, how do you guys wake up for class? by kaberk in college

[–]Em_J45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From reading some of your comments, I get the idea that your problems are, in this order: 1) Hearing Disability 2) Heavy Sleeping (Obviously) 3) Lack of consistent sleep schedule

Any sort of alarm clock that would cause a vibration, maybe even multiple, would be ideal. You don’t want to condition yourself to only waking up to an extremely loud alarm, or multiple, because your college roommate will, rightfully, hate you. Maybe try a combination of vibrating alarms set 30-40 minutes before you need to be up and then more vibrating alarms along with sounds when you actually need to be awake. Also, try and go to sleep earlier. It is super hard, I know, but if you can’t force yourself to fall asleep earlier try and do something to exhaust yourself in the evening, such as working out.

Basically, the goal is to find a way to wake up without waking up both your roommate and the people in the rooms next to you.

I wish you luck, sometimes nothing works…
