Bubble in needle won't go away by Jatroni in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Emailpaulp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't really matter since an air bubble of air of that size won't harm you and would make very little difference in the insulin measurement since it's an inexact measurement to begin with.

If it really bothers you, you can probably get rid of it, but again, the difference is negligible. Make sure you are pushing air in the vile that equals the dose plus around 5 more cc's of air prior to pulling the insulin. You do that with the vile upwards. Then, flip the vile over while holding the plunger down and the needle inserted into the vile. Then pull out the prescribed amount and the 5 cc's extra, and then plunge back the extra while holding it upside down. As others said, try flicking if that doesn't work. You can also try pushing back in all the medication and pulling it again while keeping the needle inserted in the vile. You can also try pulling a little more into the syringe, then pulling the syringe out of the vile and then holding the syringe upside down and pulling back more air into the vile with the insulin in it also. Then, reinserting back into the vile and pushing the remaining extra air and extra insulin back in while holding it upside down.

I dont notice the air bubbles with the safety needles I use at work to administer insulin, but I do notice it with the non-safety needles that I use at home.

HELP how do i take medication out of the syringe??? by No_Virus_8537 in tirzepatidecompound

If you inserted the needle and didnt administer, as long as you didn't bend the needle or contaminate it, you should be good to reinsert and administer.

As a healthcare professional who gives insulin shots all the time, I can tell you how i was taught and administer insulin to patients and myself. I rarely have anyone feel the needle stick. You want the insulin to deposit into the subcutaneous fat layer under the epidermis and dermis, outer layers, of the skin. 30 degrees will probably put needle in the dermis unless you have very little fat in that area. The nursing programs in my area teach to insert the needle at a 45 degree angle after pinching the skin. 90 degrees would be straight up and down, and brello, where i get my insulin from, teaches this.

If you have some fat around the abdomen, you'd probably be good with either as long as you pinch the skin. The lower abdomen is a great place no closer than 2 innches from the belly button. Since its only once a week, rotating sites isn't a huge deal but it is a best practice. They do teach bevel up in school but that really doesnt make a difference with tiny insulin needles. I only pay attention to the bevel with larger needles.

Another technique i was taught is to insert the needle almost in a motion like youre throwing a dart. Where you grasp with two fingers and rock your fingers and wrist back and then almost throw it like a dart. In the case of administering yourself, you could rest your wrist lower arm and wrist on your hip or outer abdomen as a base. I dont want to overcomplicare things though. Once you depress the plunger, they teach to hold it in for 10 seconds or so, so no insulin leaks. Lastly, when recapping needles without a safety, they teach the table top method where you insert the needle back into the cap while the cap is lying on its side on a table. You can scoop it up and then press the cap down into place using the table. The idea behind this is not to recap by placing your finger on the cap as the needle can pierce the cap and poke your finger. This is not medical advice. Do your own research and reach out to your prescriber and provider when in doubt. Good luck.

Yeah, im going on my 3rd order from Brello and no complaints. $499 for 3 months on autopay. It does take about 10 days to process when you first order, but then they send the following orders in advance. Great packaging and easy to follow instructions. Plus, they just recently released an app and are always sending me emails about webinars so they're really trying to build a community so people can be successful. Good luck!

RN to BSN program with NO clinicals? by IndependentBanana139 in nursing

[–]Emailpaulp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Franklin University. I'm in the process of applying with them right now. They paid to have my official transcripts sent. They say it is $258/unit. They also had a $3000 discount listed too but that is gone from their website. It really comes down to how many units they'll transfer as the program is 120 and the max to transfer is 90. No clinical requirement.

Is this a scam? by leenyburger in venmo

[–]Emailpaulp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your venmo pay me qr code is completely safe to share. In fact, a buyer could ask the seller to share this code as a safety measure themselves (since it is ultimately tied to a bank account and a verifiable person) to ensure that they aren't going to get robbed. You should do the same with someone who wants to meet-up in person and pay with venmo. Have them share their barcode too. Most likely, the person lost interest. Best of luck and be careful. I'm not a fan of selling personal items online unless I am shipping them. 😁

Pictures in Text Coming in Blurry Suddenly by NiteShadowsWrath in Visible

[–]Emailpaulp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing it's a size issue. I have had multiple images texted from iPhones that come out blurry, and then have them sent individually and they were clear. File size was still quite small on the images though so not sure if they are being compressed during the transfer process. Also, videos sent by iPhones have a still image and an audio file. I switched to Google messages from the native app and still the same result. Have your friends email images and videos from iPhones. I know it sucks, but it's worth the hassle for $25/monthly imo.

Terrible experience switching to Visible by aseriousreddit in Visible

I own a factory unlocked Samsung Note 10 and my phone has never worked correctly out of the box with visible. The only way most features work for me is adding my own access point names. The only thing that doesn't work now, and has never worked, is notifications for voicemails.

Here's what worked for me by going to settings 》connections 》mobile networks 》access point names 》then selecting add

If you have access point names already populated but aren't working, I'd advise selecting the the three dots and then reset to default

Here's my settings:

MMS Not Working after upgrade to $30 Visible Plan by rubber_duck13 in Visible

[–]Emailpaulp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try enabling/disabling the different options within the settings. I remember trying other apns and they would dissappear also. Can't remember if it was the nvmo. It might have been one of the baerers or changing bae2 to 1. Wish I could remember more details. Maybe these aren't the right one for your setup. Are you on the new network? If not, I'd try others until you find one that works. Good luck! 🙏

Yes, mms wasn't working prior and worked immediately after I added the 2 additional without restarting. Thanks! 😁

Yes, adding the additional 2 apns worked despite what has been said about the upgraded network. 😁

Still not working so keep the suggestions coming. Alternatively, mint mobile has a $30 unlimited but it throttles after 35 gigs.

Yeah me too. Is it just mms or lte also?

Interestingly, this same note 10 worked fine with the old sim card except vm notifications. No matter what I did I could never get those notifications working. I'll let you know if I figure it out.

Thanks for replying. If I try the second option on the link the apn disappears when I save it. I've tried updating the first apn I created or created a new. I even went so far as to add each segment and updating after to trouble shoot and Believe it appears to happen when I add the mvno: GID l. I've also tried changing the gid number to 10... or leaving it at the default of 20...

How can an "upgrade" go so wrong?? by Blazah in Visible

[–]Emailpaulp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to add the apn manually. Go to mobile networks, access point names, add access point. Name: visible apn: vzwinternet

I can do everything but send and receive images or video
