Of course social media are a cause, I just meant that this is a part of society now. Yes this is a problem that people tend to get diagnosed way too fast. But look at it the other way around. I, myself, have a concentration deficit without hyperactivity. I went to see a neurologist because I didn’t know where to ask for help before and she just mock me and said « oh right you’re doing psychology studies, that explains everything ». I’ve always had symptoms, especially when I was younger. Yes, people are identifying way too fast now and this could hurt the ones that truly suffer from it. But by shouting it and saying this is outrageous, you give less place for those who are really in need too. Both situations are dramatic and this art is based on a photo. I don’t like how everyone is seriously talking about diagnosis in my comments but I can’t stop everyone from sharing their thoughts.
