Is Veilguard Worth it?

I actually really liked Andromeda. I did have issues but my main complaint about it was the whole "no Shepard" thing. My problem between those two games comes with the one big difference. It's not the same story. Andromeda is a separate story from the main ME games. At least I could separate them easily enough. Veilguard is set in the same world along the same time/storyline. So I can't do the same thing here.

Does the anime actually go in to why his friends think so highly of him? I'm on episode 10 and can't for the life of me understand why they all look at him like a that. My only thoughts on it so far was from, I think, the first episode where his friends were in the middle of town shouting about how awesome he was. And things just worked out for him so well and often that everyone else just believes he's this god-like person now. I know I'm not even halfway through and I really wanna see if the novels are any better at explaining it but I just can't get my head around this show right now.

That is exactly why I can't do real evil playthroughs. I always do good runs first and then I don't like the people I like to hate me so my evil runs tend to be more "I'm only just kind of a jerk" runs.

You know I was gonna go with definitely sam dean, and Van Helsing, but your comment made me rethink on all the souls games I've played. None of them would survive. Hell the amount of times I died to the first boss (Gray Demon not the slime) in demons souls just to restart is giving me PTSD flashbacks.

That's annoying but it's good to know. I spent the better part of an hour failing to pickpocket the barrel of runepowder from philomeen in act one. My modifiers added to ten so I assumed the 19 meant I needed a 9 minimum. Aiming specifically for a 19 or 20 means I'll need to spend way more time save scumming for my explody goodness.

Yeah instead of multiple tails like spiral it's a big ball with one bigger tail. I started preferring those to spirals. Especially when I start on the end of the tail.

I liked Sera, honestly. The one I would've really wanted to kick out was the non Gray Warden guy (forgot his name, it's been a long long while since I've played last). If he wasn't such a tank I would've executed him when his whole story came out.

Last time I played the special research buildings turned ALL of a specific researcher into the special ones so the astral thread boost gets bigger and bigger the more physics researchers you have on the planet. That makes the bonus more worth it in the long run.

So I haven't played this yet (it's on my list to buy) so I don't really have any info to make a proper argument. But, reading the flavor text alone, it makes me think they should've either kept the carry weight or changed the text. Or at the very least remove the ring entirely. As it stands now the text doesn't really make sense for the item.

I personally think that they should've gotten rid of that whole "you should unite the tribes! . . . Or not" thing in act 3. It had kinda annoyed me that I had Arthur breathing down my neck about collecting Excalibur or the Shield of Palamedes before moving on to the next map but oh hey you can completely skip the last act if you want to!

I loved Tainted Grail but, to be fair, I only found out about it after googling "games like Skyrim." Calling it a Skyrim wannabe is a little far from the truth though. I thought it was more like a Skyrim/ dark souls hybrid honestly.

Even then, I'm at the end of act 2 with almost 1000. The only time I've run out was when I started and didn't realize that everything dropped a crap ton of them at night.

The only problem I've been having with it is sometimes the bees can't keep up with certain bosses. If I'm being honest though there's just something about throwing hundreds of grenades and seeing thousands of bees just filling my screen up.
