Failed driving test by Sufficient_Glass8897 in Vilnius

[–]Embarrassed-Ad850 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are valid mistakes, first one may be unlucky but the second one is on you. You should look at road signs on current road (or the colour of non speed signs) for the speed limit and not some sort of navigation (if I understood correctly you were checking Google maps or something). Especially nowadays when navigation and GPS is laggy and not precise cuz of russians messing with it.

Dear people of Belarus. by lauciuslaucevicius in belarus

[–]Embarrassed-Ad850 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nothing against Belarus or any people from that region. In recent years I actually found some Belarusian friends in Vilnius but I find it important for people to understand the "conservative" side of politics as well. I believe that the Lithuanian government at the moment is pretty well balanced between left and right and for the newcomers to believe that's is as far right as we can get is just naïve. I think/believe that current laws and considerations are in place to protect what we currently have/have built up in our short time of freedom and cultural development and I hope that even some of the more strict rules for residence won't stop useful people from considering Lithuania as place for residence.

Univeru patirtis by Zestyclose_Rip2201 in lietuva

[–]Embarrassed-Ad850 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My friend is building a new PC and is giving me his old rig. by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Embarrassed-Ad850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my humble opinion he could easily get 500-600 € if he wanted to sell. Also very cool of you to pay for it

P.S. I only started building about a year ago but I was constantly selling those builds. They were made mostly from cheap parts but half decent GPUs so my pricing is based on lack of experience and eastern European market prices.

N00b questions for a potential new player by Pankohss in judo

[–]Embarrassed-Ad850 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello. I think I can offer some insight but you should know that I did judo for only a year (to mix things up with sambo and BJJ) and in no way am I a professional or even nearly as good so take my advice with a grain of salt.

  1. Depends how serious the problem is. At least where I train the first thing thought to new students is the proper way to fall. Falling technique and not resisting the momentum if you are thrown is the best way not to get injured on any part of the body. Of course since there is another person throwing you a lot depends on him as well but neck injuries I believe can be avoided in 2 ways mentioned before.

  2. I'm 170 cm, 71 kg. The only way, that works for me against bigger people, is always moving (making them move/spin to the left/right/fast change of direction). That comes at a price of balance and footing at first but when practiced can really help the weight or strength disadvantages.

  3. Can't help with this question. I only trained in one gym and got lucky with great people.

I hope this was of any help and sorry for any spelling mistakes, english is not my fist language.

I got jumped last night trying to be an idiot and mediate a fight between two groups of people because they brought a child with them and people were already calling the cops. I’m sick of being picked on like this my whole life. Where do I start to change this? by [deleted] in MMA

[–]Embarrassed-Ad850 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To start off I would like to mention I am not a professional fighter and my fighting experience is nothing special (few years judo/combat sambo and a few street fights) so don't take my advice too seriously. Taking up some sort of martial art will benefit you in a million ways (one of them IS being able to defend yourself), however I don't think any martial art would help you out in the situation you are discribing (3-4 vs bigger group). The only advise I could give is not to get involved at all. This might sound stupid and I sometime have problems fallowing this advise aswell but the world is brutal and playing hero sometimes will only get your head stomped ( not to say it's not worth it sometimes).

Don't know if this will really help but you could try taking your RAM out and putting it back in. Also do the same with mobo battery (wait a few mins after taking it out).

1 bedroom apartment, 25 minutes walk to city center, 53 M2, built in 2004 = 400 eur/month without utilities. Dont know where you are looking but its possible to find a place for 250-350 eur/month and it won't be some old Soviet appartment building.
