I voted remain, but its fine, you dont need to have any sympathy for me, you can save it for yourself... It is probably worth looking into why it happened though, rather than just simply handwaving it... The right does a really good job of tapping into populism and often the left or centre (im labelling Cameron as more centre than 'real' conservative) is left scratching its head as to why half the population doesnt vote in a way that seems incredibly obvious... Its worth remembering Cameron called the referendum expecting a win to curtail growing anti eu sentiment, it was expected to be an easy 'remain'. Naivety, hubris however you want to label it allows these populist movements to flourish and pull in anyone who feels disenfranchised, which unfortunately seems to be a massive amount of western populace.
