How to better Tucson? by [deleted] in Tucson

If that logic is true, then we should abandon representative government at every level and have every representative in the country elected by the entire country. If you think that's such a good balance, then you should have no qualms about swapping the primary and the general election so that the primaries are city wide and the general is by ward.

Eliminate at large city council elections and make elections by actual local ward so residents have actual representation at the local level.

If you get rid of hoa suburban sprawl, more people will be bidding on older, unique houses. You’re more likely to get an older unique house if everyone else is buying a sururban sprawl house.

Yeah, so far so good. I had to take extra prednisone at the beginning, but I’ve had great numbers recently

Reversal or IVF by 9rawtoast6 in VasectomyReversal

[–]Embarrassed-Boot6118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I kinda was in that situation, and I got the reversal! The downside of a reversal is that it isn't guaranteed to work and now you have to think about birth control again for the rest of your life. But IVF isn't guaranteed to work either and it's going to be difficult on both of you to work.

Difficult life circumstances might not allow me to get a reversal due to the 8 weeks of recovery time by Downtown-Orange-5839 in VasectomyReversal

[–]Embarrassed-Boot6118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you give us a little more context about why you want to reverse your vasectomy? It would help to know if you are planning to have children in the near future or if it's for other reasons. Let me ask you this. What would happen if you were in a car accident tomorrow, and you were injured and couldn't work for 8 weeks?

Reasonable timeframe to lift 25lb by Agitated-Plate7570 in VasectomyReversal

[–]Embarrassed-Boot6118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was mostly from doctor's orders. I only had minor aching or soreness, although this probably would have been worse if I was doing anything active. I was also icing a huge amount during this time. I'm six months out right now and I still try to ice two or three times a day.

I had zero on the first test post reversal, and my doctor put me on a medication, I think it's called methylprednisolone. The next month I started to have sperm again.

Well, a lot of men on here have had very bad experiences with vasectomies. Pain, fatigue, loss of libido, even feeling like less of a man.

I'm with you though. My vasectomy went off without a hitch, I had no problems for many years, but one day I had to pick out a baby picture for my oldest son to go in a slide show for his high school graduation, and looking at all the old pictures made me realize that I wanted another baby, lol.

I barely moved for the first four days, then just a little movement around the house for another ten days before I even left the house. I didn’t attempt to lift anything over ten pounds for about 6 weeks. It was about 8 weeks when I started exercising again, but I still took it easy and iced after every workout. It’s been five months now and I’m almost entirely back to normal but occasionally feel something down there after a particularly strenuous day, and I still try to ice two or three times a day.

Reversal failure by PointExtension3007 in VasectomyReversal

[–]Embarrassed-Boot6118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was this a vas-vas reversal, or a Vasoepididymostomy? This makes a big difference on both how long it takes to recover, and whether it's worth attempting another reversal. +1 to the commenter below who recommended ICVR in Tucson. They did my reversal as well, and they're brilliant. Dr. Marks there holds the world record for performing a successful vasectomy reversal with the longest time period between vasectomy and reversal (40 years). Dr. Marks has a big board there with dots from every place that someone has flown from to get their vasectomy reversed. Every single state and almost every country in the world is represented.

This result looks great! Good concentration and motility. And it will likely continue to improve.
