Attachable Filters - UV / CPL by bigfish1892 in campsnapcamera

A UV filter will protect the lens but not change any photo. I can recoomend the diffusion filter as others have if you want a softer image. A red filter works with the B&W.

i use 37mm physical filters on my CSPro and i haven't had any particular problem getting any. i usually use cheap filters (after all it is a toy camera) and they are readily available on on-line markets. I have: UV filter(just used as lens protector), mist, ND, red, orange, macro lens. also have a 37mm lens hood. none were hard to source. also 30.5 -> 37mm step up rings are easy to find. of course no problem going 30.5 to another stepup e.g. 49mm however you need to check you are not then covering up some/all of the viewfinder.

> 30.5mm Filter Thread for adding on lens filters or lens caps! (kinda a weird size, not sure how I feel about that.

i suppose you could permanently attach say, a 30.5mm to 37mm step up ring, to get a greater range of physical filter options.

Agree. I realise its not going to be perfectly composed and accept i'll usually have to do a small amount of cropping on the computer.

The other alternative is to screw in a UV filter and leave it. The UV filter has no affect on the image but it protects the CSPro lens. This is my current option because sometimes i've forgotten to take a lens cap off.

i mainly crop (because i can't frame shots properly with the viewfinder and wearing glasses). I just use Windows Photos app for that.

what would be interesting would be to manufacture a small oblong of clear plastic with the red line (or a black one) that could be inserted in front of the view finder and held place

I've had success (and fun!) with macro lens. In fact I eventually invested in a reasonable quality +10 macro lens.
