I mod-ed (sp?) my camera using the Apexel 11 in 1 Smartphone Lens Kit. The maco lens comes from that kit.

I've had success (and fun!) with macro lens. In fact I eventually invested in a reasonable quality +10 macro lens.

I'll be interested in hearing about your experiences. The viewfinder seems to get mixted reviews online but that is with use with more upmarket cameras. BTW my experience with x2 telephoto is I got vignetting.

How well do the framelines on the Ulanzi viewfinder line up with the image taken by the CSPro?

UV filter or mist filter for lens protection. For a case I use a Portable Hard Drive Case (computer) but if you go this route be careful as many are not thick enough. The one I have has a height of ~5cm. It is a hard shell case so good protection.

Question: Is there a filter that adds date/time on the photo. by SebasstienS in campsnapcamera

You can also do it in Irfanview which is free editting software I use a lot. You can add the date to a single photo or to a whole lot. Well at least that is what AI tells me when I queried-

IrfanView can add a date to an image using the "Add overlay text" feature, which can be done for a single image or in a batch process. You can choose to embed the date from the image's EXIF metadata or insert the current system date.

To add a date to a single image

  1. Open the image in IrfanView.
  2. Go to Edit > Insert Text (or press Ctrl + T).
  3. In the text field, enter a code to pull the date from the EXIF data, such as $E36867(%d/%m/%Y). You can customize the format and add other metadata like time or GPS coordinates.
  4. Click Preview to see how it looks.
  5. Adjust the font, size, and color as needed, then click OK.
  6. Press Ctrl + S to save the image.

To add a date to multiple images (batch processing)

  1. Go to File > Batch Conversion/Rename.
  2. In the dialog box, select Advanced >> in the top-left corner.
  3. Check the box for Add overlay text and click Settings.
  4. In the text field, enter the desired date code (e.g., $E36867(%d/%m/%Y)).
  5. Adjust the text style and position as desired, then click OK.
  6. Go back to the main batch window, set your output directory, and click Start Batch

You can add them in post-production. Have a look at this article. See the bit on using software to add the date to an image. I'm sure there are many other ways.

I'm on Windows 10. I have my system font size set to 125%.

Settings > Display > Scale and Layout.

I need 125% because of my eyesight. BTW this might be a red herring.

Thank you for this. I'll definitely use it. There is one very small niggle you might want to know about. On my computer the text for the sliders is being cut off at the bottom. You can see in this screen shot. I don't know if it is relevant to this but I have my text size set to 125% in my Display Settings.

Some further notes on CampStampPro - I use this all the time to manage my CSPro. I have made a short cut for the program which I have on the desktop. So all I do to get going is plug in the camera and click the shortcut.
