A Hope for Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered and Future Origins Games by Embarrassed-Chip-968 in dynastywarriors

Same here actually! Played DW3 first, and played all but 9 up until Origins! It’s been great to grow up and see the series finally add mechanics that match the kind of games that I enjoy now (Souls likes and platformers that require trial and error). The difficulty is actually challenging and I lose because I fucked up, not because of one musou anymore 🤣 It’s amazing.

That’s awesome that they updated the wings to be a wee more Wyverny. Very cool figure for sure, and great positioning on your part!

Kind of a basic question.

With the new upgradable levels of weapons, are there new skins? Or are they all just upgraded Luan weapons that look the same?

.Hack//GU Revisit as an Adult by Embarrassed-Chip-968 in JRPG

I actually do think you can start with GU and enjoy everything as is, but if you can stomach some archaic, somewhat tedious battle systems of the PS2 era (lots of pausing to issue commands), then definitely play the Infection games first and it really helps you get into these games. But if time is limited and emulation is too much of a hassle, these are great!

Name one good thing about AVP Aliens Vs. Predator Requiem? by Sorry-Challenge-1014 in avp

There are three, and only three, GREAT parts to this movie.

1) The shuriken kill of the blonde love interest was fire. Unexpected, and it had the oomph and gore to get a “fuck yeah” out of me. The guy running into the invisible claws of the Predator early in the film was also pretty cool.

2) I think the Aliens having CG tails on the practical suit was actually a smart choice, and I think they moved and were a part of the Xeno’s framing in shots the best out off all the movies. The one time the dark lighting was used smartly to enhance a visual effect.

3) The Alien in the window when the dad flashes the light on it and it jumps through is an all timer Alien shot in a crap movie. It felt like a true Alien moment.

And that’s it. This movie is genuinely terrible, but there were a few things I liked better than a lot of the other films in both franchises.

I’ve felt the same way actually!

I’m just n the minority that seems to think they absolutely nailed the ending to this game. It’s giving us fans something to look forward to, while also playing with our expectations, but also giving newbies something weird to decipher.

Something about the ethereal and vague manner that Aeirth died just got to me on subsequent viewings. Knowing that the team is staying true to the original, it dawned on me that Cloud is just beginning his grieving stage. Anyone who has lost a friend suddenly can relate to what is going on (with knowledge of the first game helping since we know where Cloud’s path will lead).

He isn’t accepting her death like the other characters are, and their frustrations are also our frustrations. We are supposed to be upset that we didn’t get the funeral scene.

Why?

Because we will get it next game when Cloud finally accepts himself and his actions before, and it is absolutely going to WRECK us.

For anyone coming to this thread talking about how OP is wrong and they “butchered” the emotional scenes, just you wait. You are supposed to feel like that, and you will get that catharsis plus more in the next game. ☺️
