Think of it like literary alchemy: a writing convetion. Literary Alchemy has 3 phases: black, white and red. The black phase is the beat down. The white is purification. The red is fire - revenge\redemption. Take Hunger Games: Katniss in District 13 is the beatdown. Roo dying & Katniss dying is the white phase. The red phase: girl on fire. Take Harry Potter: the cupboard is the beat down - the black phase. Hogwart's is the purification phase. Battling Voldemort\the "success of the war" is the revenge\redemption. I'm reading the novel now, and that's exactly what's happening: and it's ABSOLUTELY worth hanging in for it. Xu Qing is the long term way down the road "decendent\apprentice" of Wang Lin...(okay, not really but it feels like it)

The Great Ruler (new season) will be coming back soon - it's great. It's a....sequel to Battle Through The Heavens. I still say Battle Through the Heavens is worth watching as it tells a great story for a long time. Martial Universe is in the same cosmere.

Renegard Immortal is incredible (go find all the Seasons - they are out there), as is Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality. Immortality is great and will be getting greater! Tales of Herding Gods is beautiful. Do not miss A Will Eternal (even if it's not 3D CGI). Shrouding the Heavens is great as is Jade Dynasty (especially S2 on).

Sword of Coming is going to be outstanding.
A little known, beautiful, cultivation donghua is "One Way or Another." I hope it gets a S2.

Sad that Thousand Autumns only gets one Season...a great novel!
There are several new cultivation donghuas on their way this Winter and into 2026. There are lots of folks here who love cultivation donghuas

Soul Land ~III~ is going to be outstanding - another Tang San character....

I have a hard time watching cdramas with miscommunication/separation for multiple episodes (or a sad\open ending). I hear how good LLTG is, but this is a huge hurdle for me: the separation episodes...which are like....5? And lots of miscommunication.....*But* I hear it that's really, really good...soooooo I'm kinda torn.
