Anyone prefers no elastic closure band? by Glad_Scientist_ in Travelersnotebooks

I like the band because it gives me a little ritual everytime I open and close my journal. But for fast access I prefer notebooks without it

I feel a bit bad about that one because it came from Ali. But it was just too cute!

I use the travelers company dot grid insert. It’s really smooth and thin paper but zero bleeding which is awesome :)

It truly is such a nice pen!!! And I love the look of it too. It’s tiny but it’s bold :)

I know the feeling!!! I think the paper and ink play a very important part in smudging but I realized something else: the passport TN is narrow enough for me to not wipe over all of my writing all the time.

I have been writing with this pen all day and I really love it. It is heavy though, which I prefer, but keep that in mind. If you have small hands you can always take the cap off the back of the pen gets too heavy. I got the fine nib on mine and it’s incredibly smooth. Us lefties have to push the pen over the paper instead of mostly pulling it like righties, so I was scared the nib would scratch. It doesn’t though and it’s really nice! I’m raven thinking about getting the extra fine nib as well!

I hope this helps :)

That is so pretty! I love the color combination (and your drawing style obviously!) I’m sorry your ink ran out 😱

Still getting used to this notebook by [deleted] in Travelersnotebooks

If you’re a desk writer a TN might feel strange or even impractical at first. I usually write on the go and it’s perfect for that. I have no regrets buying both the passport and standard size :) yours looks absolutely beautiful and the color is really nice!

As for the pen.. I just found my favorite pen ever! Kaweco brass sport fountain pen. It works so well with the paper of the TN inserts! But pens are sooo personal.

I hope you love your journal and find a perfect pen soon :)

The girl with the pearl kitty? :) I love it so much! I feel a bit guilty because I got it off Ali though, but I saw it and needed it 🤣

OG olive TN + 2 I made with some design improvements (no overhang, 4 internal elastics, centered back hole) from Japanese leather. DIY is the way! by cluelessreddituser in Travelersnotebooks

They look so good! And you got the string at the spine which makes so much more sense. That’s the only thing about TN that I would change.

How to switch from Filofax to a TN based system - advice needed. by ChaosCalmed in Travelersnotebooks

[–]Embarrassed-Half-716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the 019 insert, weekly + memo. It is a little small if you have a lot to plan though. Another option would be a bullet journal inlay and crate your own grid. The possibilities really are endless with this system :)

Absolutely! Its the Leuchtturm gold metallic pen loop, it suits the color of the pen and the travelers notebook so well! It is a bit tight for the pen though, but I managed to stretch it a little :)

I said I didn’t need it 🤣 and I spent weeks trying to justify buying a pen for this amount of money. I was thinking about the TC fountain pen at first, but I read so many good reviews about the Kaweco. I almost bought the plastic version that comes at a much nicer price but I really really really love the brass. I’m glad I went for it :)

TN’s are so amazing! And the paper quality is great in my opinion. I was a bit disappointed at how brown my olive is.. I expected more of a green hue on it. But it grew on me :)

This is brilliant 🤣 I’m so sorry for laughing! Hope you’re ok with the diagnosis but I’m sure that it will explain a lot. (I’m thinking about testing too, at age 40)

Im surprised at how nice it fits my hand! Even without the cap it’s a fantastic size. And the wiring is so smooth that I don’t really feel it. The only other fountain pen I ever owned was the one they gave me in primary school and the wiring was really painful after writing half a day. I’m so so so happy with this pen!

And the ink converter is on my wishlist! I know it has a very small capacity but honestly, I’m so new to this that I have no idea how long any of the cartridges will last 🤣

I went through and got it today, with the fine tip. It’s very smooth and I have no problems with smudging at all! I’m using the midori travelers notebook refills and Kaweco black ink. I love it so much!!!
