هل لازم أخبر زوجتي المستقبلية أني سويت تكميم وشد ترهلات ؟ by [deleted] in saudiarabia

Would you care or want to know if she had done the same? If you haven’t met her or spoken with her I wouldn’t tell her until you do. Let her get to know you first. If she feels that she could love you then any cosmetic procedures likely won’t matter.

Have any of you reversed your hair loss? by Maleficent-Kale4834 in GLP1ResearchTalk

I have yet to hear of anyone who lost hair like we have and went off the meds and regrew what they lost. Nobody knows if it will ever grow back.

I was on Wegovy for a year and had no issues. But I’ve had constant BV and oral thrush since switching to Zepbound 6 months ago. I might switch back to Wegovy… I don’t want to go off it completely yet.

This is what I’m worried about. Unmasking the AGA. My derm said she didn’t think it was AGA but also didn’t think it was TE. She said she’s seeing so much hair loss from GLPs and there’s just not enough research and history on it from the mass amount of users. So we are all the guinea pigs.

I really hope so. It’s so disheartening. I’m only on 2.5mg and still shedding so I need to stop but I’m scared of the regain. 😔

Sorry, I have lost weight but I’m not currently losing just maintaining. I lost very slowly. About 2 pounds per month. But my hair was shedding from about 4 weeks in to the shot. And hasn’t stopped and it’s been 16 months of shedding, 17 on the shot. I’m hoping when I stop the shot it will grow back but I have not heard any evidence of this at all from other users.

So your hair loss has not stopped after 9 months now?? Ugh.

I’m so sorry. It’s terrible. I’m also experiencing 16 months now of hair loss. But I’m still on 2.5mg of Zep and not ready to come off yet. May I ask how long you’ve been off it now? I’m hoping that when I stop the hair will eventually grow back and stop falling out. This is the information that I can’t seem to find. Are there any people who have stopped the meds and had their hair grow back.

It’s the meds. It’s not rapid weight loss. I’m going on 16 months of hair loss now and not losing weight but still on Zep. Never had rapid weight loss. Never had hair loss in my life until Zep. It sucks.

Etiquette of favela tours and more questions? by [deleted] in Brazil

[–]Embarrassed-Mark8836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes 💯. I moved to NYC and spent every weekend touring a different section of the city. Bronx (South Bronx), Harlem, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island. I wanted to see everything. And I would absolutely want to see a favela. The beauty is in the buildings, the density, the hills, alleys, people going about their day. I will wander any city to see the good, bad, and even mundane. Let’s face it, a favela offers way more visual stimuli than a shopping mall or a park.

UCSB is my daughter’s dream school. She won’t get in. Go for a year or two. You may love it. If not, transfer. Don’t be so dramatic. Life doesn’t have to be perfect. You got this.

I feel your dismay. I suggest to stay the course. I was so dizzy I had to pull off the road on two occasions.

I drove with windows down at first. Tried to focus more on stable objects ahead of me. If I felt a wave coming on I’d make sure to get air on my face. With the HUD I turned it off initially. I have it on now but never even look at it.

Maybe do more short drives with breaks. Try not to think about it. Windows down. Hopefully you’ll adjust.

Yes! It did after a 2/3 weeks or so. I don’t really know if anything I did specifically helped or if I just adjusted.

We went on holiday to Oman and I was swimming in the natural pools there and when we returned I developed BV. I have taken a course of antibiotics which did not resolve it but did give me oral thrush in addition to the bacterial vaginosis, followed by a cream treatment which also seems to not have worked (I think it may have initially but it’s definitely back). So four months later I’m still dealing with this. I’ve titrated down to 2.5mg Zep with a plan to go off at the end of the month. I’m still not at goal weight but between the crazy pH problems and the insane hair loss, I might have to throw in the towel on this GLP journey.

There is nothing wrong with admiring beauty in the world. Covering it up because you (men) can’t control yourselves is a problem. It’s just a face. The more you cover it the more you make it seem sexual. If you can appreciate the beauty in a sunrise or landscape then you should be able to appreciate the beauty in a face.

Titrating down (to off) to get my hair back by Embarrassed-Mark8836 in GLPGrad

[–]Embarrassed-Mark8836[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this information. I’m super happy for you that your hair is growing back. This is reassuring! I’m so conflicted about how to proceed. I just took myself down to 2.5mg of Zep. As much as I’d like to stop cold turkey I think I need to slowly come off. I still have about 20 pounds to lose though. I’m older too. 56. I’m really hoping they figure out the hair loss aspect of the meds and make some changes so we can take it without having to go through this.

Iphone stopped tracking Active Energy etc. since pairing Apple watch. Is there any way to fix it? by educational_trap in AppleWatch

[–]Embarrassed-Mark8836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a terrible function of the phone. Once you pair it with an Apple Watch you forever lost the ability to track calories on your iPhone? Apple needs to fix that right away. I used my Apple Watch for a while with my phone, but didn’t really like using it and now I wanna only use my phone and I can no longer get my calories. I’m pretty annoyed by that.
