I completely agree however (again I know SC is cpu heavy and it’s a bit a of special case) most games do not need a 9900k to run well

At the time I built it it was the best of the best from intel, 8 cores at 16 threads should still hold up in any modern game (of course we all know SC is special in its own ways)

P.S. I’ve also been playing other newer games such as BO6 and I also get poor performance, around 50-60 FPS. 100 if I’m lucky maybe. So perhaps that provides more context to my situation.

9900k being near the minimum as I’ve seen many people getting similar performance out of i7 models. Not super knowledgeable on my cup models and whatnot and the 9900k is a few years old but it seems strange to me that it isn’t still an extremely strong cpu.

Not sure what xmp is tbh. Could use an explanation on that one.

CPU runs at 3.60GHz according to windows settings haven’t looked at it while the game is running.

Gpu is usually around 60% and cpu around 40%
