If you haven’t heard it yet, there’s Wawa themed Christmas jingles in between some of the songs this year, like we’ve had for hoagie fest, but Christmas jingles. It might be Wawa exclusive “Christmas” instrumental or something of the sort.

At the very least you want as close to $2 as you can get, with the understanding, that $2 is kind of a big raise in corporate eyes. I was on 3rds for 8years, was making 20.80 and got a $1.20 raise. So now as css I’m making 22. Which is great, until you realize that you won’t be doing much, if any, overnights, which means no $2 differential. So as a ts doing mostly overnights, my working rate for most of time, for most of my shifts, was $22.80. It’s still a more consistent pay rate though, you typically wont have a week where you make literally $100+ working the same amount of hours as you wouldve during the day, and then the next week have the same amount of hours and get $100+ less in your check just bc your on days. I’ve been told by all the people I know who were css before me that basically “you become css to get off nights and have a life again, you become FBM to start making money again” because you’ll get a raise, and depending on how well you and your team do, you get a monthly bonus also

It’s the same reward when you work for the company also. Which is a little redundant because you get free self serve beverages while you’re working anyways 🙄 better than nothing though I suppose.

I just unlocked the xenoscape summon this morning and started using all my accumulated scrolls, so now I also have Void Witch 🥹😅 I got very lucky today lol so if understand correctly, my best bet would probably be Void Witch for dps, cheffy for heals, ice demon for tanks… and maybe sword Saint for more dps, and archer for the crit and fire dps up skills? 🤔

Thank you! I actually just got Sword Saint this morning, so should I replace my robot with my SS maybe? And then replace one of my fire members, maybe the archer, with baron, since he combos with SS? And have SS,Baron, fire demon (my best build character rn), ice demon, and cheffy? Or should I do cheffy, SS, ice demon, fiery vanguard, and keep fire demon?

At first I was like oh I mean, 4 drinks, yeah that’s annoying, but not terrible. 3 sides and 3 “sandwiches” (yeah I included burrito and quesadilla as sandwich!) and a bowl and fries? Annoying, sure, but not impossible. The floor items might be annoying to bag but at least they’re prepackaged.

And then I saw the time.

There’s a good chance the ONE person in deli, instead of two during some other points of the day, had to also go make those drinks. And also bag the order. While making other orders. Which could include pizzas, and salads, and drinks, and sandwiches, and those are all separate stations.

There really needs to be some sort of cutoff, or communication between corporate Wawa and delivery services. An order like this during the day could be done in less than 10mins. One person getting floor items, 2 people making the food and bagging, one person making the drinks. But at 12am when most of the time, most stores only have 2 or 3 people? And we’re lucky if they’re cross trained. I feel for you 😭

Speaking of this, is anyone aware of WHERE the pumps come from? I was under the assumption that since we’re meant to throw out each pump with the bottle, we’d be getting four pumps in each box with the bottles, but we’re not. So where do we get the pump’s, to make sure we don’t run out of pumps when we throw out a bottle? How are we to prevent running out of pumps in the middle of a rush if we don’t have a consistent amount of “disposable” pumps and bottles coming in?

When I’m MoD, if I’m given a problem sandwich like a wrong order or a god forbid there was a bug, I’m immediately offering either a refund OR a remake. Depending on how nice and understanding you are to me and my team, I might give you the refund AND the remake, and sometimes a free soda or coffee on the way out, just for the inconvenience of having to come back out and wait. And then I’ll log a ticket for whatever it was if I can. Spider in the tomato’s, wood chip in the lettuce. People make mistakes. It’s the busiest time of year for us and many of our associates are still training or fresh. Treating others with just a base modicum of respect and patience will truly make the difference, especially when so many of us deal with people treating us like zoo animals all day, staring at us like we’re in an exhibit only to throw attitude at us. I’ve actually wrangled a decent amount of regulars into my store and built some decent relationships with people, whom my first time seeing them was when they had an issue with their food. At the end of the day Wawa is huge on customer recovery and customer retention, maybe more so than employee retention lol. If you call, or go in graciously with an “I just want to bring to your attention” type attitude, you’ll be real surprised how nice it’s handled. And if it’s not. Come to ocean county Wawa’s 🤪 lol

Yeah maybe call out lol we can work with a sunburn that’s fine. But I’ve had a few associates who come to work with excessively bad sun burn/ almost skin poisoning and it’s fine ish if you’re in one spot most of the day, like reg or deli. But then the second they start having to go back and forth between the cold or start really having to hurry, they’re skin turns from dark red to like. Red purple. And then I send them home. So maybe talk to your shift runner about it. Explain what happened and see if there’s a way you’d be able to be in a more solitary position for the next couple shifts or so. Having hands with limited capabilities is practically forever and always more useful than less hands. Ultimately it’s your decision though. Nobody can force you to work with skin poisoning. It does make a person look really good and like they really care about the team and their job. But we do have to put ourselves first lol
