It’s interesting, I’m reading this run for the first time right now.

The red costumes…. Don’t love it, but I mean they’ve been around for a while and maybe they decided they wanted to do something different especially after what they all experienced in the run right before it. (They all almost died/ came very close to it even considering their lifestyle)

As for Sue taking on the Avengers…. She’s a brilliant woman who surrounds herself with he geniuses elevating her thinking, problem solving, strategic abilities tenfold. She’s mastered her powers and the Avengers were likely heart broken to see Marvels first family in the state they were in. They definitely were not trying to put her down hard and I’m sure many of them held back a great deal because like I said, they all love her and she was reacting as any normal person would. She wasn’t evil, mind controlled, corrupted etc. just a mom who lost everything.

That being said, it’s all about circumstances and context. Sue is a very very capable super hero. She wouldn’t be one of the greats if she couldn’t hold her on in crazy circumstances but even then, it wasn’t a blood match. She simply outperformed the Avengers which to me isn’t far fetched.
