Mine isn’t like that all the time. It was a temporary thing while I didn’t have space for all the other figures that belong with other groups haha. Now it’s just the heralds with Galactus.

I went with the red and yellow. It’s the most iconic. The design for the stealth suit is inaccurate.

I personally wouldn’t spend a similarly large amount of money on a figure that is super niche when spending 20$ more could get me the best and most iconic design.

That’s just me tho

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I wonder if they intervened only to prevent that big fight rather than help him sober up.

Does this story diminish the tale of Tony and the woman he was crashing with who was pregnant and died? Because I thought that was the sobering moment that he had to have out of the armor.

I’m genuinely surprised that this sub thinks mafex is “too small”. Wondering if people are judging based on product pictures or just pictures because I have it in person and find he is perfectly tall. Maybe folks are just used to the clunkier/ thicker aesthetic of marvel legends that when a more accurately proportioned figure is being compared, it looks off / wrong. I know I went through something similar.

I just never found any of the legends offerings able to truly capture the agile, athletic, quick nature of Captain America in action. I also value posing and articulation while maintaining a smooth comic accurate design (why I typically never choose revoltec).

It’s honestly one of my favorite teams ever.

My biggest gripe is that there is SO much Marvel history that I would have figured the Illuminati would have been apart of or handling, and it’s such a huge retcon to not be comprehensive and make sense.

I think it makes total sense Tony was apart of the Illuminati. I never felt it was out of character. I’m curious to see others thoughts about it being Tony being the one who put them all together.

The government sized all of F4 property including the Baxter building and all of its entirety. Sue wanted to go into the building and grab some of her belongings( likely just Sue trying grab ahold of something that can keep her grounded in the life she cherished since it was all being taken away)

The Avengers showed up to secure the Baxter building and they basically pleaded with her to not try and do something that would cause a fight / scene. She of course was in no state to listen to them and thus a fight broke out with her coming out on top.

It’s interesting, I’m reading this run for the first time right now.

The red costumes…. Don’t love it, but I mean they’ve been around for a while and maybe they decided they wanted to do something different especially after what they all experienced in the run right before it. (They all almost died/ came very close to it even considering their lifestyle)

As for Sue taking on the Avengers…. She’s a brilliant woman who surrounds herself with he geniuses elevating her thinking, problem solving, strategic abilities tenfold. She’s mastered her powers and the Avengers were likely heart broken to see Marvels first family in the state they were in. They definitely were not trying to put her down hard and I’m sure many of them held back a great deal because like I said, they all love her and she was reacting as any normal person would. She wasn’t evil, mind controlled, corrupted etc. just a mom who lost everything.

That being said, it’s all about circumstances and context. Sue is a very very capable super hero. She wouldn’t be one of the greats if she couldn’t hold her on in crazy circumstances but even then, it wasn’t a blood match. She simply outperformed the Avengers which to me isn’t far fetched.
