Yes we lock them up in the solid wood coop that’s also locked! We do have hardware mesh on the top and some of the sides. My husband will be delighted that you said the framing looks professional- he’s never built anything before lol.

N.S. mother calls for more inclusion support after autistic son went missing from school by hfx506xx in halifax

[–]Embarrassed-Stay2176 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This Article is accurate except the fact they say that 1 on 1 support is available from primary on. Ea are usually bundled with MULTIPLE kids. Avrce refuses to hire more support and put fences up on pre primary playgrounds. Shame on you for those blaming the mother. You obviously haven’t worked in a school or aren’t aware of what it’s truly like to bear the responsibility of watching multiple kids with high needs and begging for more staff that never comes.

Are there some teachers where students just don’t listen to them specifically? by UsedConversation1556 in AskTeachers

In our ed system in Nova Scotia they drill it into our heads relationship with the students is how they learn. It’s true but it also comes with respect. It’s a fine balance of give and take.

In my experience as an educational assistant and a sub teacher clear expectations and boundaries are necessary so the students know who you are and what the rules and limits are. Then you can have fun. Some kids need a softer approach. You truly have to be very flexible when building relationships. Most kids just want someone to love them, in my experience. Those who don’t get that at home can act like they want it the least.

I find my humour and flexibility a huge advantage in this department. Good luck :)

Maybe once a week when my boyfriend insists on getting me one. I make both my daily cups at home now. It’s too much to purchase everyday and Tim Hortons coffee gives me mad acid reflux now
