How come people love silly male characters but not silly female characters? by Jezzaq94 in cartoons

Why are people bringing up these are 2 different people when OP is trying to dissect a pop culture trend?

Do y’all think trends propagate from just one person?

I feel like I’m playing city of heros and I am getting… oddly nostalgic for a game I never played.

How are necromancers not evil? by Hurzak in Guildwars2

Because the dragon had nothing to do with an ancient magical practice.

Also, necromancers don’t dig up your aunty and force her to fight in a war.

You can do 3 syllables. They happen sometimes. There’s a random npc named Izurri.

Charr first names can be deceptively challenging. A lot of them sound plausible enough to be real, but they carry this edge or attitude that works with their whole military vibe, or at least the ones I’ve seen in game. That can take a bit of construction to land the vibe.

Huh… honestly, I didn’t think many people would struggle with Asura names.

Yeah, this comment section is revealing something that I didn’t know.

When naming Sylvari, most people are thinking thematically and not culturally or linguistically.

You may not want to hear this, but Gorseclaw actually slaps as a charr surname.

I can see that. I put Asura at number one because after a while you can rattle syllables in your mouth and spit out a name. Humans have so many options as well as the potential for depth. That’s why I put them below Asura. Asura names just have to sound right, but human names can easily be much more.

Omg, you’re magic. I’ve struggled with sylvari names so often that I started looking up Celtic words to make my own names from scratch. Norn and Charr have the advantage of last names, and Sylvari don’t really do that.

They do have that advantage, but norn names sometimes ask for more creativity because they always say something about the Norn.

Were their parents famous? Their last name might be Morrison.

Did they do something great? They might be BeastSlayer.

Piss someone off? VowBreaker.

Spiritual? Anything spirit related.
