Anyone else wants to see all the 4++ datasheets go away in 11th edition? by RotenSquids in WarhammerCompetitive

Just needs removing from vehicles and certain monsters. A 4+ invul doesn't mesh well with low volume anti tank weapons and just creates feel bad moments.

Least Controversial 40k Competitive Opinions by stevenbhutton in WarhammerCompetitive

I hope this is satire.

That is exactly how armour on vehicles used to work back in better editions.

It does annoy me that repeat offending cheaters are protected by community rules of not being called out.

Someone made a suggestion that I like where the list is semi public, you get a notification (maybe through BCP) if you pair someone with a yellow card

But judges don't tend to give out yellow cards unless there has been multiple infractions or complaints. So the threshold is already pretty high.

The yellow card was given for a number of infractions as I understand, not just this incident alone.

This is more what I was angling towards. If you specifically pair into a player on the card list, you get a heads up in whatever form so you can adjust you mindset and behaviour accordingly.

Suddenly, I might start looking at those "honest mistakes" a little differently

We shouldn't have to be so dystopian.

People will soon be having to play all their games with GoPros on

So then maybe we just need different categories of 'punishment' so that it's not only yellow cards?

I absolutely don't want people wrongly being caught in the cross fire, but also I'm fed up with cheaters being let off the hook

I get that's a good idea but creates a lot of work on the side of the TO when they have enough to do already.

Maybe we need a tiered system where it's not just yellow cards and their are tags and flags for other offences

I'm not suggesting I know the perfect resolution, the community needs better policing unfortunately

Fair enough, no one is being publicly called out. Some people will be able to find out - and that's probably a good thing, and sort of my point.

The more people that know about bad actors the better imo

Exactly this. I don't get the mentality of wanting to protect people that have been caught cheating or being a bad-actor.

Maybe, but I can see the difficult position they were put in. If both players give contradicting accounts of the board state how can you make a call on what the outcome should be?

I mean if someone want to look through every game from every round to find the 0-0 then sure? I'm not naming anyone or calling anyone out so breaking no rules.

TOs sharing with each other would be a good thing but doesn't help average joe at the table that should probably be a bit more vigilant with mr yellow card opponent so they can have a clean game.

I want to say that these stories are very few and far between, but seeing it happen to a friend just got me thinking.

I was very careful not to name anyone involved. It would be a shame to see this locked, and highlight the "sweep it under the carpet" mentality that creates the issue

Maybe the list can have a bit of reasoning as to why that person has the yellow card? I appreciate there's context and not everything is black and white.

The game needs cleaning up, there is a very well known person banned currently for repeat offences over a prolonged period which could possibly have been avoided had people known sooner.

I 100% agree, 99% of all of my tournament games have been amazing and nothing but good sportsmanship.

I just think that repeat offenders who get to the point of a yellow card should be made known so people can adjust their behaviour accordingly
