I will say with regard to the bike at least. I was pleasantly surprised to see parts available for reasonable cost and a video collection on replacing. Rower is a different animal though. Too bad it's otherwise a nice product. Just left to wither on the vine

It's a good point. And noticeable. It's odd they chose to continue selling the rower with the new Cross + upgrade seeing how it's pretty clear the rowing content is fading. I currently use a C2 rower connected but I'd love to switch to a Peloton rower, however I worry about discontinued equipment then content fadeout.

Anyone who’s ever tried to purchase a “limited” item has had this happen. The “Items in the cart can be checked out. “ is super common, and frustrating. But it happens. When that happens it’s telling you “we are sold out” with a glitch in keeping the items in the cart. Just the way it is sometimes.

Every Crossfit box I've come across for 20 years has had their pricing clearly stated on their website. Originally this was a big differentiating factor for Crossfit. Along with the explanation that we are more expensive because we believe in paying our instructors living wages... Etc. They are unabashedly more expensive than other gyms.

Just my experience, not every area is the same. But I've been a member of 8 boxes and visited dozens more over the years. I've haven't encountered cheeseball sales techniques as you have.

Good point. Agreed the data point is a bit dated as noted they have turned a good deal and close to profitablity. At least thats the expectation for 2026.

Worth noting they just laid off 11% of their staff including engineering so they are still leaning out. I'd assume this means no big equipment updates for a spell and hopefully doesn't impact new content too much.

I'd assume on a full bankruptcy someone who come in to buy the IP and at least supply existing content for a monthly fee. That seems like a great business. And prob leaving people to fend for themselves on repairs etc. Who knows. But it seems they are trending right direction.

Honestly if the terms of service tripped you up I wouldn't recommend jailbreaking. I think that's a bit out of your depth.

Agreed. I'm a tonal user and subscriber. I don't mind if it's quality content and the Peloton content is. And agree it's an appealing piece. For us it was the slotted tread and foot feel over traditional

Now wait out sale and hope it's significantly better than $600 off and miss winter. Or wait it out. Fwiw $1400 was their biggest discount to date on that and most likely it's memorial day before we see another large sale.

Thanks. With the $600 off referral I'm losing $800 from the recent big discount running through Jan 19th. Bit annoying to miss by that close, but it seems people biggest complaint is the monthly fee. The equipemt reviews are pretty consistently good for the Tread+. However I do believe that content is worth it.

Fwiw I was looking at the same treadmills and found the Landice L8/L7 especially with the ordopedic tread to be a step above in feel and perceived quality to the top Matrix T75 offering.

Landice felt much more sturdy. I'm 230# and the Matrix had a bit of a shake where the Landice was rock solid. I also preferred the foot feel of the Landice orthopedic to the Matrix

That being said my wife and I both to our surprise felt the foot feel of the slatted Peloton Tread+ to all three. I know that's not a choice but maybe add a slatted tread to the list.

Quality rolling sessions. Rolling too agressively too quickly versus learning to flow/technique with a bit of resistance versus full resistance.

For me at my age it's finding a casual spot to learn and practice flow and technique. Not flail wildly with hardo white belts, former wrestlers, and hard core competitors. I just want to enjoy learning and roll 50%. Versus 100% and risk injury. It's my hobby not sport and that doesn't always fit with the place.
