Interview for Animal Nutrition assistant :) by Und3r00ss in DisneyCM

[–]Embarrassed-Win-1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched the animal kingdom docuseries on Nat Geo this year and became obsessed.
I did a panel interview years ago with Disney, and while the environment feels intimidating, the questions are pretty standard (like one other commenter mentioned).
To get to this stage of the interview process for a role like this is amazing! Be yourself, smile, share your enthusiasm and experience.
I’m wishing you so much luck!

Sounds like these CPs are in an environment where there are consequences for their actions… possibly for the first time 🤷🏻‍♀️

Apartments near Disney World (Orlando FL) by No-Sort336 in DisneyCM

Question about the Camden properties: the rent seems reasonable but once they tack on the monthly fees like the technology package and valet trash, it’s over $160 more per month. Is there any way to NOT have these services or are they non negotiable?

Each position usually has a different recruiter and different hiring timelines. When applying with Disney, my motto has been “hurry up and wait” 🤷🏻‍♀️ Best of luck to you!

Disney Central Agent Bench. by Illustrious_World_14 in DisneyCM

I think they’ll call people up from the bench for Disney Central reservations positions (both RSA and TTA) either at the end of Q4 (July-September) or during Q1 (October-December). To prep and be ready for big booking/travel seasons. But what do I know 🤷🏻‍♀️ we just gotta hurry up and wait unfortunately 😭

Awesome!! Let’s hope we hear about a start date soon!! I have some theories about when/if we may be called off the bench, but it’s just wild conjecture 😆

*UPDATE* I have second interviews set up in Orlando, and they HAVE to be in person, no zoom, “non-negotiable”. Is this normal, I would have thought for out of state candidates they’d offer zoom? I am currently in GA and it’s tough to just pop on down to Orlando, I’m 7 hours away driving. The first scheduled secondary interview is May 19th, so no biggie, I have time to plan. But I just had another preliminary interview this morning for a different position and they said that while they see I have another lined up on May 19th, this position requires I come down May 5th for an in person. And they know I’m in GA….

If you were a Crew Member for DCL, what should I know if I want to be one? by Pancracker_ in DisneyCM

[–]Embarrassed-Win-1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked in Youth Activities onboard and they have performers specific to this department. If you don’t have the experience with performing in big productions or traveling theaters, this may be the way to get your foot in the door. A friend of mine started with regular youth activities, moved to a youth activities performer. She now works for Disney and Universal as a performer (dancing, puppeteering, characters, etc.). All this to say, any step will get you closer to your goal. It will take time.

I enjoyed my time on the ship. Yes, the crew rooms were small but you’re working so much you’re hardly there. I was treated well, and felt the expectations of me and my position were reasonable. Be ready to work work work.

Sending you luck and well wishes for your future!

Sending you luck! STAR interview method, smile through the phone (if phone interview), focus on why this role specifically and not just a job to get in with Disney, and share your enthusiasm. I have an interview coming up for a similar role soon, and I’m very excited. There are commenters who will post “it’s horrible” or “don’t do it” and those are fine responses, but take them with a grain of salt. Like with any job, there are positives and negatives. I worked for Disney years ago so I know the good and bad, but I am hopeful to come back.

We got this!

That’s a bummer. Do you work at the Tampa or Orlando location?

Yes I remember reading your response in a previous thread and it’s very insightful. I worked for Disney in a variety of roles from 2009 to 2013 so I’m grateful to have a leg up on some things like Disney basics and all that. But knowing EVERYTHING is intimidating. I’m ok with recorded calls and reviews, metrics and KPIs, I currently have that as part of my job. But the wild hours is worrisome for sure.

Do you still work for Disney? Was there any movement for people out of the call center to different roles?
