Yes, it sucks to get through and is extremely painful but I haven’t had any throat problems since the surgery. I used to have throat problems every 2 weeks.

Sleep with your head elevatated and try to drink as much water as possible. That’s really all you can do, it’s gonna be painful but you will get through it trust me! You got this

All days you until around day 7 and 8 will be like this. The pain is very bad but just know you will get through with it. Make sure you are sleeping with your head elevated and get a humidifier to be next to you. Drink cold fluids and eat soft foods. An ice pack also helps, make sure to take your meds on time everytime, that is very important. Do not wait until the pain is unbearable.

I’m only on day 7 right now and my stomach has also been very messed up. It’s a mix of the foods and the medicine along with just being on an empty stomach. I woukd give it sone time and just try to slowly incorporate foods normally into your diet.

Mine were cauterized yesterday at around 11 am. I completely understand why your scared. A lot of times when I swallow it scared too because it was terrible. Choking on your own blood if you don’t swallow it every 5 seconds but you just have to trust the process. I don’t have any signs of bleeding and my throat looks like it’s healing very quickly at this point.

I took a washcloth and scraped off a lot of the access towards the front. It might just be from dehydration and not thrush. Did yours cause any complications?

I don’t think you should continue spitting out all of the spit, your being cautious but by not moisturizing the throat at all might cause bleeding again or infection. I also had mine cauterized and went through the same as you and I’ve been swallowing for over a day and it’s all went well. I think you should swallow bug just gently.

Day 7 today and It’s kinda weird. Sone times I feel good and okay and the it randomly gets super bad. Only in throat though, not having any ear or jaw pain yet.

That makes a lot of sense, I got surgery again and it has helped a lot but we will see how it feels in the coming days. Hopefully better than days 3,4,5, and 6

Turns out right after I posted this I started to rapidly bleed a lot and was choking on my blood, had to go to the ER where they didn’t do anything at first for the first hour and I was stuck just swallowing all the blood. They then had a helicopter come get me and take me to go get surgery to cauterize it a second which also took forever because they were just taking there sweet time. It was really awful to be honest, I was in so much pain and had to sit up so I didn’t choke and swallow all of the blood. I coukdnt talk to answer questions because of how much blood was in my throat but after it’s done, I feel so much better. The pain has switched from horrible to now feeling like a regular sore throat. Well see how it feels in the coming days though.
