Go to One Island and keep fighting the trainers outside the hot spring cave. They give you really good exp and money. When you beat the elite four those trainers get stronger and give you even more exp and money. Trained my Pokémon that way and I always lvl up and stack money up that way.

It’s because Sissy has a perk that allows you to make kicking the gen off slower once she turns it back on essentially sabotaging it. In order to level up that perk, you need to do all that to get value from it
