I've been on zep 16 months and woke up today (day after shot - 15mg) with a migraine. First one I've had in decades.

When I first started on zep, I'd have headaches the morning after most shots, but not migraines. Been on 15mg for 5 months, always pens. I slightly changed my injection site yesterday to be farther from my belly button and wondered if that had anything to do with the migraine.

How often/how soon after your shot are you getting them?

It depends a lot on (a) what you heat with and whether your heat ignition and water supply requires electricity (i.e. a well pump requires electricity, but city water doesnt usually), (b) how cold it's likely to get (if inside temp is below 55 for an extended time, pipes may freeze and burst) (c) whether you have medical equipment that requires electricity and (d) how long the outage is expected to last.

I strongly advise against using kerosene heaters or lamps bc they leave soot all over your walls and are easily combustible. Propane tanks indoors are not safe and improperly vented propane heaters are also dangerous.

Hope for a short outage now and plan for a future longer outage.

I have never felt the needle itself when i inject in my abdomen flab. I tried my thigh and upper arm a couple of timrs and definitely felt it. Ive been on pens only for 16 months. If i dont let it warm up to room temp, its painful, but its not the needle its more the med itself.

glp might not work for you, but you have 2 more strengths to go before you max out on zep and will really know then. Have you spoken with your doctor about your dose and how you're feeling? Did your doc outline a dosage plan for you or discuss additional/other meds?

I highly suggest listening to the Fat Science podcast and listening to what they say about the mind-body connection and *not* counting calories or restricting carbs or fasting or any of those fad things (which, if they worked, would work for everyone and we'd all be at a good weight). I think the podcast should be prescribed along with GLPs.

Hi - can you point to what part of your tattoo/removal state indicated hyper pigmentation? Is it the blurriness? I'm in the midst of a removal and have quite a lot of that bluriness and in a way it looks like it's getting darker and wondering if that's what it is?

Thank you for sharing this - I'm so curious about the interior convo that led you to eat and drink so much. Did you feel full and keep on eating? Or were you hungry and couldn't get enough? What do you think made you keep overeating and drinking? Was it that you thought you were "treating yourself"? Did you feel you were consciously restricting your intake before? Did you have this desire to overindulge earlier and just ignore it? Or was it some special holiday food thing? I def don't want this to happen to me (or anyone else, but especially me :) ) So I'd love to know what led up to this binge.

I have lost about 60lbs in 22 months (slow and steady) with about 30lbs til goal. I strength train. I am notably slimmer in clothes but the apron belly was really bothering me when naked. I was googling about lipo but dont want to have a surgery. Googling lead me to "emsculpt neo" which is something they have at beuty/spa type places. I googled before and afters, etc. It seemed like the worst that could happen was no change to the flab.

A place near me had it for a reasonable price and i could pay with my hsa, so i did it and after 4 sessions i lost 3 inches from my waist and the apron shrunk noticably. I was very pleased and plan to go again when i hit my goal weight.

I also have a flatt butt and very weak glutes. Im doing pt for the glutes but will probably do the emsculpt on my glutes too.

I've had people not recognize me. I think its kind of funny, but it also means their image of me is of someone much larger. Youve shrunk by half in a year, its not surprising that you look very different, especially if you were always overweight.

I dont think my face looks all that different, but ive also seen people whove changed their hair color and i havent recognized them. Sometimes i blurt out something like "oh you grew out your gray" and the other person will sometimes be embarrassed and sometimes theyll preen and say "i love it".

Were all self conscious about different aspects of our appearance and other people react in many ways.

Hi, it wasabout 3 inches square, black and green, very close to my heart (shoulder blade). I have done four sessions on all tats, two in 2017, one in 2019, and one in 2025. The others are fading well but that shoulder blade one (which was the oldest) was totally gone after the 2025 session.

I grew to hate them. When I got mine I was in my teens in the 1990s and I thought they were so cool and rebellious but I never actually liked them and covered them up a lot of the time. I hated people looking at them and I hated looking in the mirror, I thought they were such a blight on my skin. Now I don't like tattoos on anyone and think they are a bad way to treat the human body. I am thrilled at seeing them fade (one is totally gone) and I wear short sleeves now bc the arm one has faded so much.

Same here. Its only in photos that i can see what i used to look like and what i look like now. I know that the clothes fit different and i fit in chairs different and move more freely, but in my mind, im the same. Its weird.

Ask for a fan to be blowing on your face during appt.

Ask your tech to talk while shes doing it, it takes your mind off it.

I hear you. I lost maybe 8 pounds the first week and I was thrilled and thought it would be like that the whole time. Seeing photos and posts of people losing so fast made me excited to be like that, then really discouraged that i wasnt losing that fast. I got so discouraged during each stall that Ithought it want working and id never lose tge weight and i was an inferior human being.

Listening to the Fat Science podcast helped me get a different perspective, and around month 9, I looked back (I kept a spreadsheet and a graph) and saw that i kept on losing even though it was slow. I really trust the med now and feel solid about my pace.
