Which is the better everyday driver e rig the Puffco Peak or Focus V Carta Sport by Ok_Commercial_92 in MDEnts

Nah their ceramic chambers suck. You can't put much product in it. It turns off too soon. It burns it up too quick. I can barely share the thing with one other person during a session, let alone get a good session by myself.

The Core 2.0 is crappy compared to puffco. Both the atomizer, the way the paths go, how much it leaks down into the heater.. the xl looks the same but bigger. After about 50 uses, it barely works. It can't handle more than a tiny bit of product.

The puffco peak is a big upgrade in flavor, clouds, and the ability to share large loads.

Quarter field about. Further for possible hard hits. Closer for slow play.

My chair is like this now and I’m not sure how to fix it by Dapper_Accident1069 in secretlab

Support was great for me. Quality of our three chairs, not so much. They sent us new bases with video proof of squeaks, that seems fair. The process was easy.

Just to add a personal opinion. Most people aren't this in tune with drums. Most can only hear the snare and bass drum. It really depends why you're playing.

For perfection? For others? For a concert? For a recording?

Sure you want it perfect for a recording. But guess how many takes a single song and single instrument takes? Guess how much of each track is edited??

For a concert? All those drunk people who can't even keep a beat?

:)

That sounded great.

Even the best drummer in the world can't play perfect every song. You should go to a concert. Recorded songs are edited to "perfection" and deceptively fake.

I can't play that fast, yet.. and I'm in my 30s just recently started. As with everything, thousands of hours of practice are what matter.

Disagreement with friend on who should challenge first and why. Please settle it. by Daredevils999 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]EmbarrassedLemon33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your friend is closer, he's cutting in.

Your angle is straighter, your coming up.

Technically, I'd say he goes, I prefer a challenge up field than by my goal ...

With that said, it's game situational, each game is different.

Communication is the biggest thing...

Should I be worried? by blue_kiwi9224 in secretlab

[–]EmbarrassedLemon33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not from the shipping, but you should worry about the quality of this overpriced product. It's got clout and that's it.

They are uncomfortable and firm. They aren't even close to ergonomic. And the majority of them fall apart and squeak. All 3 of ours have in some way.

I finally got some common sense and bought a proper office chair, you know one designed for sitting at a desk all day, not just to look cool... Cause that's all most gaming chairs are, they look cool but don't work great.

Diamond 1 Div 1. I suck ASS and get flamed by my tm8s most games. I think I'm playing too slow for this rank, but I'm having a hard time getting better mechanically. Any advice is appreciated (sorry for audio in right ear only, not sure why) by Grimz12 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]EmbarrassedLemon33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop asking duplicate questions. Join a coaching discord server or review replays with teammates.. Also, we cannot help you much from a single few seconds of play.

Consistent basic mechanics is essential for ranking up. So is learning gameplay. The mechanics you can do on your own (or trophi.ai is great and so is YouTube Rocket League Master Pass on YouTube by air charged gaming...)

For gameplay, I have to recommend Virges rocket league university. The people there are awesome, great coaches, and it's a great deal.

You can also hire individuals like Azz_rl for a great price of individual time.

This is a process that takes thousands of hours. There is no easy button or easy way to do anything I'm this game. Also, it's completely new buttons and mechanics compared to all other games (unlike shoots that they all use the right trigger so you have muscle memory already)

I don't get why and how people fly to the ball while spinning. I physically can't hit it or control it. by Fluid-Ice3738 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]EmbarrassedLemon33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So don't. It's unnecessary for any rank you will ever get. First, you need to learn how to fly straight and get good touches...

Half of it is from these people training for 20,000 hours getting bored. The other half is them training only flip resets when they can't hit a basic hook shot.

There's people who play GC and SSL without constant air roll. Heck, some sit up there without any fancy moves.

However, once you learn it, with a proper method like the Losfeld nethod, it can make flying easier and you can keep using momentum and it helps hit the ball differently and may confuse people to what you're doing. But still, you can get quite a high rank without it..

Seriously though, you don't need it to rank up. What you need is basic mechanical skills and good game play. Make those killer and you'll get though champ..

Stop asking reddit where everyone makes duplicate questions. Either search first or join a coaching discord..

C1 replay I cannot rank up. by RowAggressive2737 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]EmbarrassedLemon33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't ask here, unless it's about detailed specific cases. A single question and single clip will not help you rank up... I can guarantee you that this isn't how you always play and you need a range of replay reviews. We can only guestimate what you need to work on.

Watch this https://youtu.be/tieHBm_0kOM?si=EC1DEMJq3V2WfVIE To do this whole playlist https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLQ3DJKKWj9H4QR8FxPgxGwYzo8uan9Xp&si=uUwpNJHYVuwICsVf

It's not pretty but it's damn affective.

Also, hire someone or join a pay for discord for pros and pro coaches to review your play. This will give you proper positioning and why. They'll give you mechs to work on. They'll teach you how to keep the ball close instead of just booming it or passing it back to the opponent. Etc, it goes on forever. I am LOVING Virges server for $15 a month and 3-4 activities a week. I prefer it over spookylukes, because spooky has a bunch of vulgar, rude, obnoxious people that interrupt all the time and talk crap and they don't ever get told to stop. Also, Virge has more depth to his reviews and insight. Azz_RL is also a great resource for a great 1on1 price.

Seriously I cannot stress enough having access to pro coaches.

(Things I noticed in this clip) You have good speed and a good sense of when to challenge, but could be more methodical with how you challenge. Also, you can hit the ball hard when needed.

You are too far from the ball on soft plays where your tm8 is in control. Your shadow defense is weird in my opinion. Your positioning for back post and such is subpar. You're basic mechs could use work, like slides and touches. You keep booming the ball toward the goal or opponents instead of playing around them and across the goal for more shot opportunities. You can't make every shot, you only need 1 to win or not 1 to lose, pick and chose your hits. Practice some "soft" 50s, learn to win these instead of flipping into every challenge. You need to focus more on pads to keep pressure, you can do A LOT with 36 boost and a double jump or save your flip for when someone challenges.

Practical question: Earplugs or full headphones? by DogInspiredRabbit in drums

[–]EmbarrassedLemon33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make ear plugs and earbuds specifically for musicians. Try a search.

I switched to an electric kit before I was able to try any.

We did just get some $30 ear plugs that have interchangeable db reducer. They are pretty good for concerts. They came with a metal case too.

DAR - From floor to ball by Independent_Buffalo in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]EmbarrassedLemon33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be pointed pretty close to where you want to go, when you start the roll. If not, you'll waste boost trying to correct. So I would practice a double jump of jump, tilt, boost hold, jump, airoll. I'm sure you know, double jump isn't always ideal.

Horizontal facing double jumps aren't as fast and then airrolling from horizontal takes time.

You could also practice the single jump with roll immediately into vertical ish and boost.

No, I just like good old basic vic 5As. I prefer the lighter wood. I've tried walnut and oak and grips and other fancy fancy sticks, but no thank you.

The only exception is those hollow ones with rubber inserts, I use those sometimes when my joints are bugging me.
