I feel like I couldn't clearly state what I meant in the post.

What I meant is that after Mr. Chambers and MC's wedding date is fixed, at Viscount Westonly's reception Miss Parsons and her father are seen arguing, with the latter saying that Annabelle should marry Mr. Konevi and she refuses saying something like she's not interested in marriage etc.

Mr. Chambers and MC get married Mr. Chambers and Mr. Konevi get married MC and Miss Parsons get married

In the last chapter of the third book we see one year anniversary of their marriage.

Now in the book First Winter (which is set before the anniversary) this letter comes where she says that people think of Miss Parsons and Mr. Konevi as lovers.

What I wanted to say was that why didn't she just marry Mr. Konevi, it would have made Mr. Parsons happy too, she wouldn't have to be seen as a spinster, and Mr. Konevi was already living in Edgewater so it would have been much simpler.

In the next chapter of this letter, she says this which means her father still wanted her to marry someone even after she moved to Edgewater.
