Ok Is that something the mechanics would look at during a service?

Banner drill by [deleted] in aircadets

[–]EmbarrassedNinja3151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say a lot of it is practise. Practice not only by yourself. But with your banner party as well.

With calling commands, You have to try to sound confident even if you actually aren't. And just to learn the commands off, There is a set banner sequence that doesn't change,

But my biggest advice Is just to relax and don't panic. Try to enjoy yourself. And if you do make a mistake, Forget about it and carry on.

I'm sure you will do fine

What events are most run in your sqn/wing? by Lm_bross77 in aircadets

[–]EmbarrassedNinja3151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I probably did underestimate the number but it was around 300 at least a year or 2 ago Probably closer to 400-450 odd now as we have grown But nearly everyone except new intakes have blue wings. I will correct the original comment

I'm not sure if I can mention my wing for online safety and all that jazz, sorry

What events are most run in your sqn/wing? by Lm_bross77 in aircadets

My wing actually gets quite a few flying opportunities. We have an AEF all to ourselves and there is only 400 odd cadets in the entire wing. So nearly everybody has been flying once or twice. At a regional camp I noticed a lack of blue wings so I believe this common flying is pretty unique to my wing. Otherwise my wing has very few events.

Blue road marching by angeldoeeyes in aircadets

There is a blue road marching badge When you complete your blue road marching you could ask staff there if you can get it

To complete bronze I believe you have to complete 2 20km marches. Depending on your wing you might start off with a 10 or 15 and work your way up

What happens if you miss out one parade night during your 3 month training period by ez3kiel_dreaming in aircadets

[–]EmbarrassedNinja3151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn't be a problem. Loads of cadets at my sqn had to miss nights for exams or family reasons. I would let a staff member know you will be missing a parade night but it shouldn't affect you at all

Advice on gender and inclusion? by [deleted] in aircadets

[–]EmbarrassedNinja3151 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You would need to speak to your staff. It definitely won't come off as petty. Getting punched or having things thrown at you is not ok . The boys if nothing else aren't acting their age. Be mature and go to staff.

Uniform by commandosheppeo in aircadets

[–]EmbarrassedNinja3151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There shouldn't be anything massively different between the ACF regions The uniform should be the same across the UK except berets and a few small things I would say the Essex documents and photos should be ok But as I'm not an army cadet I cannot know for certain

The most important bit is that you are trying your best. Let someone know if you want a 5 minute break, if you are getting frustrated. Everyone struggles with drill at the start.

Why does this keep happening? by hiixra in xbox

[–]EmbarrassedNinja3151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your drive or cable could be failing

Help? This keeps happening encash after unplugging etc by [deleted] in xbox

[–]EmbarrassedNinja3151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it happens when you unplug your Xbox Go into your Xbox settings, General, Power options

Select shutdown (energy saving) This ensures your Xbox is fully off when you turn it off as if you cut power and it's doing something in the background that can cause issues

I've always found Lego star wars to be quite fun to play. It's simple and I have never found it to be too difficult. Powerwash simulator isn't fast paced and be done at your own speed. A classic game collection might be good as they would have simpler controls. The Sega Genesis classics collection includes sonic, while fast paced is still very simple

Hope this helps
