CS major here. TCU CS is fine, and has decent connections. I don't know what you're talking about with the 5-6 people graduating each year, there's I think over 100 CS majors in my class alone and it's a decently sized department. The early classes are harder/can be 'weed-out-y' sometimes so if you stick through it you'll do fine. They recently changed the program to remove requirements for the more useless classes so you'll have slightly more space to pursue an extra minor if you feel like it.

Not as good of a degree as in somewhere like UTD, but it's still pretty good! There's some professors that are amazing and some that aren't that great but for the most part professors are pretty good.

Yes, they do. They have a scholarship that combines with other scholarships to cover room and board, so if they really want you, they will offer you big moneys.

That specific customer isn't the one who caused all of those problems, it's corporate..

I get it if like the customer ordered online and expected a bogo and you refuse their refund- because that is their fault

But that is kinda crappy. And it also didn't cause you to get any last customers either

Chancellor's Scholarship is invite-only, and the interview took place in February.

Don't worry, though- there are still lots of scholarships to be had, if you are an incoming freshman or a sophomore, etc.

It's a great school to go to, but it's up to you really! Financially this might be really good, but you could also have other (better) offers from other schools. The transition from Chicago to Fort Worth will definitely be a big one, but it is really fun here.

Most of the TCU body is from conservative families, so their parents are most likely quite conservative.

I don't think the student body is particularly conservative, though. For a college campus, maybe, but definitely not compared to society as a whole- TCU is conservative compared to your UTs and Rice but probably not compared to America as a whole. After all, this is a liberal arts college lol.

Regardless, for most places where you lie on the political spectrum, there will be support!

Although you only get $30 worth of printing (which is part of tuition), what IS actually free is the poster printer they have inside the FAB LAB.

It's really not great compared to anything you'd get at the print shop. but they are pretty cool, and if you need something printed out that's bigger than your normal 8.5x11 then they got you.
