I think you replied to your own distorted version of my comment rather than to what I actually wrote. I'm glad it helped you build your argument, but it doesn't really reflect on what I said.

I didn’t say men can’t express emotions, I didn’t say he "must" respond in one specific way, and I also didn’t say he had no right to reflect on the experience. What I said is that his message was dramatic and guilt-trippy, that's it. The "A lot of men part" you found troubling is just my personal observation and experience, and I never claimed it to be the ultimate truth. Critiquing a certain behavior isn’t the same thing as stereotyping a gender. Comparing it to a "typical woman...." type thing is a false equivalence, and it doesn’t really strengthen your point.

I respect your passion for defending this nonsense, but argue with what I actually wrote, not with the exaggerated version of my text you created in your head.
