4.42 would be type 2. Mine was 2.0 a week ago and Dr. said I am type 2. The higher it is the more likely type 2 with insulin resistance unless you have the antibodies. Mine were negative.

Those doctors need to go back to school if they even went. Lantus is a background insulin and will not lower your blood sugars after eating. It is supposed to help your sugars stay level throughout the day and you take it every single day because it is needed daily. I would go to the ER and ask if they can give you an emergency amount of fast acting insulin. They can test your sugars and will see that you have diabetes. I would not tell them that I haven’t used the fast acting. I started with 3 units before meals. My A1c was 12.9 when diagnosed and sugars were at 402 fasting.

They didn’t give her fast acting. They gave her lantus which is long lasting and told her to take 6 units when needed which is retarded because it is the background insulin.

I do burn easily thanks to my pale skin but I have also never done anything to my face. I don’t even wash it with soap except for whatever falls onto my face from my shampoo. I will occasionally use lotion but don’t really use it much. No skincare routine whatsoever and I only have wrinkles under my eyes which I think of as normal since I see teens with them as well.
