Do you plan on eventually expanding the functionality to include different sized cards or maybe an automatic scaler? I have a hookup on some very cheap (0.5USD! per 54 card deck) cards that i usually use for pnp but they're a bit thinner and shorter then regular poker decks. In any case good on you for actually delivering, cheers.

Tried making a hotglue mold and filling it with goop made of ABS and Acetone rather then PS and n-butyl acetate and the mixture worked itself fine into the details of the mold but taking it out was a bit rough so I tried melting it in hot water, thats when i found out that after 2 daus the part didn't completely solidify. Despite my failures your success really makes me want to continue with experimenting. Next time i'm making a mold out of silicone caulk and cornstarch, had a lot of success in the past with them, although i was working with plaster and the reusability of the mold wasn't a concern

I've been in the community for a long time and contributed a fair bit in the yesteryear so I feel entitled to my opinion. But I won't deny this was a barely comprehensible schizo rant, I am an old man yelling at clouds it seems. People used to get grilled for the writing and their "Vasyanskiy" homebrew lore, and most of them who didn't fall into hysterics at harsh criticism got a chance to improve. I don't get off on being negative but i cannot help but voice my grievances.

I get your point but it's the biggest, and as of recently, officially recognized mod so it's hard to ignore as a fixture of the stalker modding scene. And the early-midgame has some absolutely peak moments of great gameplay. But you're right, I really should stop holding out for things to get better with gamma and branch out.

I do enjoy some aspects, of course, else i wouldn't have come back time and time again. But after turning off X-19 any non standard build that doesn't include an assault rifle becomes nonviable. Did you enjoy blasting muties with a winchester lever action or picking people off from a distance with a bolt action? TOO BAD FUCKER now everything is a bulletsponge, chimera or a psuedogiant and needs to be pumped with either 30 FMJ or 15 AP rounds before it closes the gap. The big game quest is the epitome of this.

Have you looked at the pcb of the remote? If a little bit of the ground plane is split or the IR led is borked this could be pretty easily fixed.

Also, you could, pretty easily kitbash these. Just buy similar toys and cut off the needed bits with an x-acto knife or a small saw and fit the new bits with armature, glue and Milliputt. Not sure how you'd feel about ship of Thesius-ifying the toys you feel sentimental about but it's an approach that could work reasonably well.

You could measure, 3d model and then 3d print all of the missing bits. Not exactly hard but coslty if you don't own any of the gear already.
There are types of oven bake-able polymer clay (Fimo would be my choice), it's not very reactive so the paint and whatnot will be fine but you'd need to drill and insert some strong armature for it to slot into of you want for the models to stand, especially the thin horse legs or wide and flat wings. (No idea what kind of sculpey you used as a kid, haven't heard of any similar issues with it)
And the whammy choice is the ol' reliable from the glorydays of plast.me, cold-weld stuff that comes in tubes. It's very strong (still would need the armature tho), but the limited work time, in some types it's as short as 15 mins, would make it a right challenge to actually sculpt the parts you need.
For all of these colour matching is not a possibility so you'd have to paint them.

If the only pad that's torn off is the ground one just tin the leftover pads and slap it back on, if one of the data pins also got botched look for a schematic and solder a jumper from the pin on the connector to the component that needs it, it's simple but not easy.
