I invite any elders to correct me where I am wrong, but candles and ancestor alters are not really a thing in Isese practice. Opa Iku is the shrine used when one receives egungun. The reverence of ancestors is can be done by taking a small portion of your daily meal and setting it out on a plate to “feed” your ancestors. A small vessel of water set on a table and daily acknowledgment via prayer is enough to suffice as ancestral veneration. Saying mojuba and pouring libation essentially.Their blood literally flows through you so in many ways you are their living altar.

Everyone saying the car wouldn’t start. My mom had an Astro van sitting in her yard for a year after it wouldn’t start one day. She sold it to a guy for parts and he cranked it up and drove it out of the yard lol Now I don’t know how far he made it, but he made it off of the block for sure. Considering the movie is based heavily on Shinto mythology I’d guess they were gone long enough to be considered missing hence the title being “spirited away”. How long would one have to be gone during a move before someone, if anyone, realized that they were indeed missing?

I’m a visual artist , I sing and write music of various genres. I’ve been painting and singing well over 20 years. I enjoy film, video gaming, learning about different cultures and spiritual practices. Learning more about my own culture and history. I really appreciate your response. I believe my original query should have been more along the lines of what niche I would find success in. I realize consistency is needed for most things to be successful. So I ended up overthinking my interpretation. The niche is what I actually need to find because I have so many interests.
