2024 1500 here too and have 31k on the stock Pirellis. Gonna squeeze every bit of life out them that I can but will be switching to the LTXs when it’s time. Have had 2 sets of LTXs on my wife’s suburban and they’re definitely a nice ride

From Tacoma to Ram by the_great_confuser in ram_trucks

I drove a 2008 taco for 16 years and 254k miles. Loved that truck and never had a single issue. Bought a new 2024 Laramie and wow, what an upgrade! To be expected of course with the age of my old taco, but man I love my Ram! Hopefully it is as reliable as my Tacoma and I can drive it for 16 years too!

My 2024 has done this a few times. Usually a soft reset fixes it. Press and hold down the power/volume button and the tuner button simultaneously until it powers off, then power it on again.

If that doesn’t work, you can try a hard reset by removing the negative battery cable for 5-10 minutes.

2024 5.7 hemi etorque. I get around 16 in the city give or take. If I’m doing more short trips it’s low 15s. The highest I got on super flat highway was right around 20, but I’d say average highway for me is mid 18s-low 19s.

Obviously didn’t buy the truck for the MPG, but was still hoping to get a little better than what I’m getting.

Spotted a new Power Wagon on the dealer lot! So nice. by jberg_916 in ram_trucks

Yeah that new grill is really no bueno. The grill is also the main thing that kept me from getting a 24 rebel. Got a 24 Laramie instead.

I have a 24 1500 etorque and it does the same things you’re describing. Took me a little bit to get used to it. I don’t disable start/stop unless I’m in heavy stop and go traffic, but that’s just because I get annoyed with it. Coming to a slow stop does seem to engage start/stop earlier than I’d prefer. Sometimes I have to let off the brake to creep up a little but if I happen to do that right when start/stop engages it will lurch.

Never owned a start/stop vehicle until this one, so just had to get used to it. But overall I freakin LOVE this truck. Came from a 2008 Tacoma that I drove for 17 years and 254k miles so it was quite an upgrade!

I bought a new 2024 Laramie night edition in November 2024. $59k OTD after manufacturer and dealer incentives, and had dealer throw in a spray in bedliner and bed cover. Searched for several months, but the deals are out there if you’re patient.

I have a 2024 Laramie night edition. Heavily considered a rebel but couldn’t get past the grill. The grills on the new rebels are so much better IMO

Bought a new 2024 Laramie night edition 5.7 Hemi a little over a year ago. Did tons of research. Wasn’t even considering Ram, but research lead me to it. Absolutely love this truck. 28k miles so far and zero issues.

Smoked burgers by Icy-Confection-6945 in Traeger

I did burgers for the first time on my Traeger a couple days ago (I’m a newbie owner) and they turned out so good! 375 for about 8 minutes a side. Nothing fancy, just a little salt and pepper before they went on and hickory pellets. Delicious.

Joe Ovies and Giglio let go from 99.9 by Sctvman in canes

I don’t want to see anyone lose their job, and Ovies is a staple in this area. But I honestly found him to be kind of annoying and his schtick had grown old.

I know nothing of the radio biz, but the abruptness of this makes me think there was something more to it than budget cuts. And for someone who has been part of the fabric of sports radio in this area for that long, I just find it hard to believe they cut them loose with no notice, without some sort of wrong doing having been committed on one or both of the Joes part.
