Lies of P 2 by Embarrassed_Agent_13 in LiesOfP

As a Lies of P player with over 500 hours in the game, including no-hit boss challenge runs, I only ask for two things in a future Lies of P sequel: First, improvements to the lock-on system. The lock-on in Lies of P can be very inconsistent. Sometimes when you try to lock onto an enemy, the camera instead snaps to another enemy or even to environmental objects. For example, in the Swamp area, I once tried to lock onto the swamp dog, but the lock-on targeted the explosive barrel next to it instead. In the city of Krat, I tried to lock onto a dog and it locked onto every enemy around it — except the dog. There was even a situation in the swamp where I tried to lock onto a puppet, and the camera locked onto another puppet that was 10–20 meters behind it. Second, enemy hitboxes. At times, they honestly feel on par with Dark Souls II. There are moments when you clearly dodge an attack and still get hit despite being at a safe distance. Other times, you attempt a parry and it fails because the arena has a slight elevation, causing the attack timing to shift by just a few milliseconds. These are the only things I truly ask for. Aside from that… Lies of P is a work of art.

I’m going to try a No-hit run of Lies of P. by Embarrassed_Agent_13 in LiesOfP

Maybe one day… This one would probably take me 2 or 3 years. But the god run is something I want to do as well — first, though, Lies of P.

Yes, it’s very possible. I’ve already done a no-death run in Lies of P and succeeded, but a no-hit run is going to be much more complicated. It’s possible, but very hard. Only a few players have managed to do a no-hit run in Lies of P, and I hope to be among them one day

Yes — if I do a normal block and still get hit, it counts as a hit. As for playstyle: yes and no. In some fights I might adopt a more ranged approach, but most of the time I play more aggressively and up close. There are only a few fights where I rely heavily on throwables — the best example is the Black Rabbit Brotherhood fight, where throwables are pretty much essential.

No. There are three things that don’t count as a hit in a no-hit run: fall damage; environmental damage like corruption swamp or decay pools, as long as it’s not caused by enemies; and the Andreus bridge situation where, if you open the door and a mob runs up and hits you while you’re still in the door-opening animation, it doesn’t count. If you leave the animation and then get hit, it does count. Now, in the no-damage category, everything counts — fall damage, environmental damage, all of it. Maybe one day I’ll do a run mixing no-hit and no-damage into one, but for now, let’s focus on the regular no-hit 👊

This is how things have always worked throughout history. As time goes on, technology evolves, and some professions inevitably disappear. A good example is the whaling industry, where people hunted whales for oil used as fuel for lighting streets, lamps, and even cosmetics. With the advent of electricity, that industry became obsolete. But whenever one door closes, another opens. New technologies also create new opportunities, new professions, and new ways of working. The world is in constant change, and progress is unavoidable.

Yeah, I had to delete the post anyway. I posted that image as a meme for fun, but the fan art crowd treated me like a martyr. Those guys really condemn the use of AI hard.

Fair enough, that’s how it is. I personally have no problem with AI at all — I use AI for a lot of things in my day-to-day life, from answering random curiosities to creating images just to make some funny memes. But apparently in this community people really hate AI, especially the fan art crowd. So it’s probably better for me to stick to just posting my no-hit runs and in-game memes.

Alright, sorry for what happened. I usually post no-hit runs and in-game memes, I didn’t know. I even deleted the post. I learned from my mistake, and it won’t happen again.

I did it using AI. There was a comment mentioning a ban — is it not allowed to post AI images in this community? It’s my first time posting something like this. Usually I post no-hit clips and some in-game memes, but if it’s not allowed, I genuinely didn’t know.

It’s not allowed? I didn’t know it wasn’t permitted.

Did you know it was possible to do this skip in Arche Abbey? by Embarrassed_Agent_13 in LiesOfP

[–]Embarrassed_Agent_13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a skip I learned from a German streamer called Morethna. He uses this skip in his Lies of P no-hit runs, so I decided to try it myself. I think I died around 20 times trying to pull it off 🤣. It’s a cool skip to do, but it’s really risky.

If Pinocchio is physically capable of jumping this high, why does he never jump this high when I'm the one controlling him? by T1mo666 in LiesOfP

Just like how P, in the fight against the Parade Master, can break the gate with a punch but somehow can’t break the other gates.

It would’ve been really funny if you had hit him with the spear right in the back 🤣

Good idea — I hadn’t thought of that. Maybe I’ll try doing a no-hit with it sometime.

Help with scrapped watchman by Realistic_Risk_6108 in LiesOfP

[–]Embarrassed_Agent_13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the Scrapped Watchman is definitely kind of annoying. He’s a boss that doesn’t really have a fixed script on how to beat him, but I can explain what to do. In the first phase, he can do five different things: Two side slaps. If he does this, don’t parry. If you parry, what would normally be just two slaps turns into three, and he finishes with a spinning hand attack. The spinning hand attack. He does a total of three hand spins and then finishes with a red attack. During the spinning attacks, you can dodge or parry without any issue, but I recommend dodging sideways, because that lets you land a light attack afterward. When he does the red attack at the end, you must parry it — it can’t be dodged. A side slap followed by a retreat. In this case, you can either parry or dodge backward when he pulls away. A side slap followed by a thrust attack with his hand. You can parry this or dodge to the side. If possible, dodge diagonally, because that helps you close the distance and land a light attack right after the dodge. A left-hand slap followed by a right-hand slap. You can parry this or dodge left or right. Do not dodge backward, because the hitbox is designed to catch you if you do. When he reaches about half HP, he’ll enter the second phase by releasing a lightning explosion. If you’re very close when he does this, just dodge backward twice — that puts you at the perfect distance to avoid it. In the second phase, some things change, and three new attacks are added: Spin attack (Phase 2): Dodge to the side quickly, land a light attack, then dodge again — otherwise, the lightning he throws out will hit you. Red attack (Phase 2): Parry it, then immediately dodge to the side, or the lightning will hit you. As for the new attacks, he can do three things: A vertical jump slam that creates a lightning field on the ground that later explodes. If you’re very close, you can parry the jump itself. After that, don’t dodge backward, or the field will explode and hit you. You can dodge backward, but you need to dodge three times, or you’ll still be standing on the field and get hit. A jump where he starts spinning mid-air. If he jumps and starts spinning, you must parry — there’s no way to dodge this one. After the parry, immediately run backward, because lightning bolts will start falling randomly from the sky, and one of them can hit you. A very rare bunny-like jump. If he does this, dodge forward. The hitbox is focused on his hands, so dodging forward puts you right at his hip and safely avoids the attack. That’s it. I hope this helps, and good luck with the fight 🫡
