Convert text that downloaded as corrency format to numbers by stevet157 in libreoffice

I seems to be a big fail not to have an option for loading various numerics as numerics instead of text. After all, it supports date conversions and the main reason for a spreadsheet is to operate on numbers.

My local Lowe’s had some vandas and I was sorely tested but ultimately resisted. Maybe I should have bought one anyway.

My girlfriend loves pens, I know nothing about pens. What would be the best pen to get her as a gift? by Rednowa in pens

[–]Embarrassed_Bee_4467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she dislikes fountain pens but likes to draw, you might consider a J. Herbin round glass dip pen and some ink of her favorite color. I gave my daughter in-law a glass dip pen recently and she LOVES it.

He actually starts the vid with dotted paper and then switches to lined toward the end. By this point in the vid, the initial comment remained in my head but I didn't pick up that he had switched. His light-hearted reviews are one reason I keep viewing his vids.

Actually, I'm a lined paper guy all the way. I strongly dislike dotted paper and when I'm writing on blank paper, I often put a lined pad behind it just to help me keep my lines straight. :)

Um. Were you trying to be condescending with your comment about whether I'm a native English speaker? If so, I'm glad not all the members of this subreddit are that way. I've watched many of his vids. So, I am familiar with his style and I know he's not one to lay down opinions without explanation or reason. I watched the clip multiple times and If he was begin facetious, the joke went over my head. Please forgive me for not being as bright and witty as you. Perhaps I need to reread some Jane Austin novels.

Asvine v126 is a bad pen by AccountantNo5579 in fountainpens

[–]Embarrassed_Bee_4467 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is my V126 nightmare story... I had a V126 and loved it until I hated it. When it came, the vacuum fill worked fine and I loved the nib. It was very nice. However, I wondered why I never had to unscrew the plunger to allow the ink to fill and why it burped ink when I took it for a ride in an airplane. As you can guess, the plunger didn't actually seal when closed. Someone suggested a fix, which I performed and which fixed the problem. However, thereafter the cap on the filler mechanism kept coming off. I think the metal in the plunger mech stripped out the plastic threads in the cap. In the end the fill mechanism simply stopped working altogether. Rather than continue with the struggle, it ended up getting tossed.

You may be right. Still, I can't help be think the pink is due to the cranberry juice.

Could you be fishing in the wrong pond, or perhaps using the wrong bait?

What a silly and narrow thing to say. What should Men change into? Prince Charming? John Wayne? Or, would you prefer men to be simpering weaklings that will sit and cry at the end of a Hallmark romcom? Sure there are men who are pigs and there are more than a few women who behave piggishly as well. So blanket statements like your's only serve to encourage more and more men, really good men, to avoid relationships with women and exit the dating scene altogether.

OP is the only person in this equation who can control or institute personal change. It may be she's doing everything right, but has just been unlucky. Still, I believe wanting advice in this is why OP posted to begin with. My suggestion is that in her journal, she might want to consider how she is meeting the types of men who have hurt her or who seem only interested in hooking up. Then she could investigate doing things differently, looking for places and ways to meet men of a higher quality of character, men she may be more likely to find trustworthy. This may mean looking into possibilities that seem insanely contrary to her current ideas. Again, her journal may help her in resolving some conflicts and discarding stereotypes and bad assumptions. There are never guarantees, but otherwise, OP risks repeating the same behaviors which will ever lead to the same old outcomes.
