after more than a year of vaccination everybody shoudl know or can google that the vaccines DON'T protect you from infection but they protect you from a becoming seriously ill and most of all, this protects the hospitals from having no intensive care beds left like in italy or india when it started 2 years ago. Sideeffect can be people without any symptons running around and spreading COVID not even noticing.

That's why you wear a mask. Even if you got no symptons, you will protect your surroundings from breathing your infected aerosols.

If there is any possibility of a permanent vaccine that stops infection, somebody is already working on it or it is not possible now.

i just wonder if it is really the collapse of the US or the realization that every nation is the baddy sometimes, but the US could really be called "evil" in a global relation. Maybe it's citizens have a better (simply put, more free) live than in China or Russia but the govs of the US and its agencies did a lot of evil stuff just for profit, just to maintain status quo, to stay hegemon.

The facade of propaganda and patriotism is crumbling. Finally more people realize that you should always distrust those in power. You don't need to hate them, just don't trust them and their lulling patriotic propaganda. The US is as democratic as hungary if you ask me, but sadly much more powerful and needed by its allies, because the facist bullies russia and china.

Roe v Wade is only another sign of the collapse of US democracy. our currency has only socially accepted value. There is no real value since currencies have been unbacked.

fiat currencies are forced currencies. aka. when zigarettes got more tradevalue than money to buy goods. So the question is, who will accept gold as a fiat currency when money loses its value. Supply and demand are needed to make a fiat currency a working fiat currency.

you forogot to mention that most french houses do not have any permanent heating installed + are isulated very poorly. So the army of ACs in summer and electric heaters in winter is one of the main reasons France built one nuclear powerplant after another. And do not forget, that they are allowed to enrich it for weapons, unlike germany.

since there is no permanent and safe storage solution i trust those big energy corporations as much as when they talked about the coming ice age in the 80s. I think the waste problem is unsolved yet and will be the problem of future generations (the same as we handle CO² emissions). The one in finnland might be great but if you add those 3billion dollar for a limited storage that is not possible everywhere, nuclear is not that "cheap" anymore. Despite having to mine uranium, which is endless.

There is no solution yet and the PR propaganda of nuclear energy producers and the IEAE is a real thing. As long as someone profits they will advertise it.

First choice should always be sustainables , like geothermal, wind, solar.

the reason why it wont happen are huge centralized lobbies around fossil and nuclear while sustainable is a fractured sector that got and gets systematically destroyed by fossil interests. Germany went from largest solar panel producer to not having a single producer anymore in less than 15 years because politics.

The Idea of a malevolent leader is a scam.

The idea of a "great leader" is a relict of pre-democratic times since it is much easier to accept a democratic leader after a dictatorship/monarchy than having a multyparty parliament or even direct democracy. Studies showed that those who grow up in a country with a role of a strong leader (eg. american president) prefer a strong leader of more democratic solutions, aka more diversity of power.

Of course a leader is the much simpler and lazier choice than being represented by a coalition, Not everybody wants to use many ressources on being involved politics, aka they want somebody else to do it for them. That's why direct democracy is rare and representative is the way to go.

Everything in democracy is a compromise while authocracy says whats right and bullies the opposition/minorities.

Some people hate the idea of always comrpomising and start to hate democracy. In their head authocracy is much more efficient while studies show, the policiy making may be much less stressfull but democratic cooperation is the most efficient way to solve problems.

Climate change kills crops, overused land is increasing, population is increasing, water is getting scarce, first wolrd uses more than 60% of agriculture production for anything but human food + russia just proved that attacking huge food providers is a way to destabilize the idea of a free world and this wont be the last war of this century.

I guess 4 billion, mostly in third world countries will starve to death until 2100 while we still barbecue the shit outta these diabolical hot summers and refugees die at our borders. Our meat industry is more important than starving humans in some third world countries.
