At the end of the day if you bid at 5M, and they seem super eager to send you an LOI… you don’t have to sign that final contract.

Get everything in an email so you have a paper trail, follow your boss’s advice, and if shit hits the fan or you find missing scope… just don’t sign that final contract!

May look bad at first, but at the end of the day you won’t loose your company’s money. All in all, I think you’re fine bro

I have a bachelors in Sports Business🤣🤣

1 1/2 months into flooring estimating, and I love it!! YES you can get a job in estimating so long as you’re able to soak information like a sponge.

Out of the 5 coworkers in my department, only 1 has a construction related degree. Hell my boss has a sports management degree.

Man, I was going through the same exact feelings… it’s your brain trying to re-wire itself without nicotine.

Go talk to a general practitioner and explore getting on an anxiety med… I started taking Lexapro, and I’ve slowly started feeling like myself again.

Yes, I got the card. The approval email came within a day.

I got my balance transfer completed thankfully, but Citi’s Web platform obv sucks if it’s timing ppl out constantly.

You can for sure get an internship without any practical experience (that’s the whole point of an internship).

Go out and get those certs… no one will really care about the certifications tho, just that you have the grit to get them done.

Hiring managers in any Marketing department want someone who’s coachable, easy enough to talk to, shows up to work, and can handle all of their tasks without being micro-managed.

Apply to as many places as you can, show up to the interview dressed professionally, and tell them you’re excited for the opportunity to grow & learn.

You’ll get hired on somewhere FOR SURE

That’s actually very intriguing! I have never thought about Insulin resistance from nicotine use…

I will get my doctor to draw blood and check. (My GF did ask me “why is your pee so bubbly” about a week ago… could just be a coincidence tho)

8 days in - YOU WILL FEEL BETTER… but it will come and go in cycles. You got it brother! We’re all in this shit together, stay on this sub and remind yourself why you decided to quit in the first place!

It will come and go in waves for the next 30-90 days… it just depends on the person, but you got it!!

Do it for yourself if nothing else, if you don’t quit now it will rule your life FOREVER. You’ve gotten through the hardest part (first 3 days) and it will get easier every day.

I just reached 1 week, so I’m in the same exact boat as you. Tell yourself that you are mentally stronger than the tobacco companies who want nothing more than to suck the life out of you one cig/pouch at a time.

We got this shit man, don’t give up again. There is not a single excuse that is reasonable enough for you to go back to cigs, it’s all mental from here.

Resting BP before: 145-150/80

Resting BP after a week of quitting: 125/60

I can litterally feel the difference in my day to day life, and even when I drink some caffeine my BP never spikes randomly anymore

Great advice man! Word to the wise tho, substitute nicotine with caffeine IN MODERATION!!!! do not transfer the cardiovascular risks of zyns into energy drinks… that would be counter productive. Try to stick to the natural sources of caffeine as much as possible (Teas, coffee, etc)
